it can run more than ChromeOS

I purchased the Chromebook Plus earlier this month, mostly to explore the 64-bit ARM platform. When online, ChromeOS automatically updates itself, and thus far I've not encountered any issues running Chrome Web Store apps, and many Android apps from Google Play Store also work (some better than others). It should be noted that the default resolution under ChromeOS is 1200x800 ("best") rather than 2400x1600 ("native"), as it is easier on the eyes and for using the touchscreen.
Linux also runs on the Chromebook in full GUI mode, using either Crouton chroot environment on the internal eMMC card, or dual-booting with Arch Linux on a separate SD card. Although there's no GPU hardware support in those distros yet, the software rendering via the ARM CPU is not too bad, as long as a lightweight window manager is used (e.g., XFCE, LXDE, etc. instead of GNOME or KDE).
Overall, the display and build quality are great. The battery life is not too bad either for casual/medium use. My only nit is that the keyboard feels a bit shallow. However, for the price, it's a very nice, lightweight laptop, one that can run more than just ChromeOS.
I would recommend this to a friend!

what printer would be good for this chromebook? Does this chrome support hot spot?

In general, HP printers should work (recent ones anyways). For example, my HP OfficeJet 6600 is supported in ChromeOS as well as in Android through the HP printer app.

Has anyone successfully installed aarch64 crouton or Kali Linux on it?

Yes, on the 64-bit ARM Chromebook Plus, I was able to install Crouton chroot environment on the internal eMMC card (so that it runs aarch64 Ubuntu 16.04 LTS alongside ChromeOS), as well as dual-booting Arch Linux from a separate SD card. Both distros run in full GUI mode via software rendering on ARM CPU (no GPU hardware support yet) and with audio/wifi/touchscreen etc. support. Not sure about Kali Linux, but from what I've read on their website, they currently only show support for 32-bit ARM devices.
