VERY Powerful Gaming Laptop!

This is my first high end laptop. I've always stuck to desktops, but needed a mobile work station for video editing. I decided to go with a gaming laptop since their specs are usually on point for video editing.
I also enjoy gaming, so that's an added bonus and really a no brainer purchase. That said, this computer will run, so far, every game I've thrown at it on max settings with ZERO ISSUES!
For example: Overwatch on full epic settings, all maxed running at 100-130 fps and never see temps over 80c on either cpu or gpu. Usually low to miss 70s. Cap the frame rate at 60fps, and temps stay mid 60s on those settings.
Also tried Hawken, Planetside 2, and War Thunder; all maxed with no issues. Ran War Thunder on the "Movie" preset, which warns you not to play set on that one. Mainly for screenshots I guess. It says only reserved for extremely high performance desktops. Well this laptop did it no problem.
Wonderful as a video editor too. Using Adobe Premiere cc 2017 and other similar programs. Works quickly between the i7 and assistance from the gtx 1060 for rendering.
Highly recommend!

Would I be able to play Star Wars The Old Republic and League of Legends with no lagging and no frozen screens? Considering the RAMs and GB those games use and take up.

I used to play LOL and SWTOR on a much much much... incredibly slower, older, budget gaming tower; I still managed 60fps on high settings with that setup. That computer and this laptop are not even in the same universe of comparison. This laptop is light years ahead. I play Overwatch on epic, fully maxed settings and average 100-130fps no problem. Gpu and cpu won't even go over 80c on temps, and I don't use even half of system ram between graphics card and system.

This laptop is obnoxiously over powered for the games you're asking about.

Can this laptop be used with STEAM?

Yes, I play Hawken, War Thunder, Planetside 2, and many others on steam. All at completely maxed settings, and I have it capped at 60fps, because i don't need more, and the system isn't even working hard. It will play Overwatch maxed out at 120-130fps if I don't cap it. Doesn't get hot either. This is a beast laptop.

Would this laptop run ARK survival evolved on its high setting with decent fps?

Don't know much about that game, but I know it will run Overwatch on epic maxed settings at 120fps average, no problem. Didn't get hot either. it's run every game I've thrown at it on max settings with ZERO ISSUES.

Hope this helps. It's a beast.
