Only at Best BuyWrite or sketch easily on the screen of this HP Spectre laptop. Its digital pen and Windows Ink software let you create art by hand, and its Intel Core i7 chip and 16GB of RAM ensure speedy processing while multitasking. This 13.3-inch HP Spectre laptop includes a 512GB solid-state drive to hold all your files.
The computer feels and looks luxury with the all-metal build. the dark ash case, and the gold trim. It is a very sturdy device.
The computer performs well in various presentation modes -- tablet, stand, tent, etc. The hinges are plenty strong enough to keep the screen in place in all the aforementioned modes. The laptop is also light enough to be held in one hand/arm, which makes tablet mode that much more enjoyable.
The screen quality is gorgeous. 4K looks beautiful on the 13" screen, the colors are lush, and the picture sharp. Any viewing angle looks fantastic on this screen. When in tablet mode, the screen auto-rotates and can even be used in portrait mode, which is great for viewing documents. Also, using the 4K screen to wirelessly cast content from your phone to the computer via "Connect" looks fantastic, as well.
The keyboard is very responsive and tactile (could never compare to a mechanical, but for laptop chiclets, it is wonderful). The trackpad is also superb and is very customizable to different sensitivities and styles (the advanced settings are a bit buried, but again, offer some great fine-tuning options).
The stylus is a great value-add. It doesn't feel gimmicky, and is very responsive. I do love the option to be able to tap the Microsoft Ink interface and capture the screen to jot down a note on it. The buttons are also customizable to pre-configured functions. But, so far, I have gotten some limited mileage out of the stylus.
The i7-7500U, coupled with the SSD, and 16GB RAM allows for an experience very competitive with a Mac. I have timed the boot on several different occasions in -- in different circumstances -- and found that in every case the time to the login screen was under 10 seconds. Multitasking is a breeze. The system resources are substantial enough to satisfy most people. Someone mentioned the fan getting a little loud, but it is definitely tolerable and I never find it distracting.
Another user mentioned around 8 hours of battery-only usage, and I would find that to be a reasonable number. Slightly less if you're using resource-heavy apps. The USB-C/Thunderbolt/charging ports also charge the device quite quickly. (Speaking of ports, I would agree with the other user who mentioned being satisfied wtih the availability of ports.)
I have no regrets with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone who may be on the fence about it.
