Wash tall bottles in the lower or upper rack of this GE built-in dishwasher. The tall tub of this appliance lets four dedicated jets push water into hard-to-reach areas of the top rack for a clean finish. This GE built-in dishwasher has a Piranha hard-food disposer to mash up large food particles that might otherwise clog the washing arms.

Don't expect quick repairs

We purchased this dishwasher in Aug 16. Worked like a charm, and really cleaned the dishes and glassware. However, about 25 Dec 16 the dishwasher stopped draining. After following the troubleshooting instructions and cleaning the unit, I called GE and let them know the dishwasher wasn't draining and they had a tech come out a week later. Missed the call because they called my wife (she teaches and has her phone turned off during the day) and not me. A week later the tech come out to confirm the dishwasher wasn't draining and he needed to order a part. Another week later for the certified GE tech to return, even though the part came in a couple days later. This tech couldn't get the dishwasher to work, so he ordered a couple more parts that came overnight. I was waiting for the return of the GE certified tech, but when he didn't show to the scheduled appointment on a Saturday. I called and was told they were over booked and rescheduled my appointment (well thanks for letting me know and rescheduling my 2nd appointment). Four days later the GE certified tech came out and couldn't fix it. In fact his computer wouldn't communicate with the dishwasher. He gave me an escalation number to call, and I talked to a "consumer advocate" (Anyone read 1984 by chance? Yeah right, consumer advocate my...). Don't expect any help or return your calls from "consumer advocates." Well the part was on back order and had been for a week now. I've called several times with no one willing to replace my broken dishwasher, because the warranty says they can fix it first (And they will remind you of that). One guy even said there were notes reporting the wrong part was orders. Today, 24 Jan 17, got a call from a warehouse in GA on my cell, VM left, that said the part was still on back order and to call them when it comes in. One more call to the “Customer Advocate” who said she had the part pulled from the warehouse (wait I thought it was back ordered?) and expect it on Thursday. Oh, great I have to take 5 more hours off from work on Friday while I wait for a certified GE tech. So, what rating would you give GE?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
