Like the feel, but problems twice

I really like the feel of this computer, but the first one I bought had weird crashes ("Boot Device Not Found") every few days. I ran the diagnostics and it said the hard drive was fine, but it would still crash. I called HP, and they said I could mail it to them and they'd fix it and send it back in about two weeks. I was still within the Best Buy return window, though, so that was easier.
So I decided to give this model a second try. When the second one arrived, I turned it on and the fan noise was really weird and distracting -- much more audible than it was on the first one (where the noise did not bother me). So it's going back to Best Buy, too.
Again, other than those problems, I've really enjoyed using this model, and I may even give it a third try. But needless to say, dealing with this has been a big hassle.

Update: Continuing problems
March 14, 2017
I gave this model a third try because I liked the feel of it so much. This one had the same crashing problem the first one had. I spent hours on the phone/chat with HP support; I even reset it and re-installed Windows, but the same crashing happened within a few minutes of setting it back up. Apparently my only hope is to send it in for repair, which means being without a computer for a week or more, and even then I have my doubts that it's fixable. This could drag on for a while. So I have to conclude that this model is a dud. Don't buy it. Too bad, though, I did like it a lot when it wasn't crashing.

Seems strange, too, that there are so few reviews even three months later. What explains that? Almost seems like it was some kind of limited run -- maybe because it's basically a lemon?
I guess the specs at this price were too good to be true.
