Almost Perfect

Got this as an open-box purchase which saved me enough to buy and easily install a 1 TB M.2 SSD to replace the kinda-small 512 GB SSD. I need lots of storage space because I just got a 4K video camera and those 4K files are HUGE so one needs as much storage space as possible. No, I realize the screen isn't 4K but it is good enough to review the days shots and just looks great for just about everything: pictures, videos, Netflix, etc. Love the black keyboard as it makes the letters very easy to see at night with the backlit feature. I had tried some other laptops with a more silver looking keyboard and they were hard to see at night as the screens reflected too much light onto the shiny keys and I could hardly make them out unless I turned off the backlit feature, weird.
Read some folks had complaints about loud fans and excess heat but mine is quiet and cool. Basically everything works well. My only serious pet-peeve is the power adapter having the big "brick" attached at the very end of the unit where it covers up too much of the outlet. To remedy this one-of-a-kind oddity, I bought a thick, 1 foot long extension cord that fits in better - what were they thinking?? I imagine this model will soon come with a 1 GB SSD but I was tired of waiting so I pulled the trigger after looking at 6 other small laptops and returning them. I wish they made this smaller one with all the features of the 15 inch version - now that would be a big no compromise winner!
I would recommend this to a friend!

HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 2-in-1 Laptop: There's no limit to what this value-packed convertible PC can do. Easily convert from notebook to stand to tent to tablet mode. It's an app-loving, friend-connecting, 360°-bending machine.

Works great but drive too small

Very nice, very fast, compact laptop that I would have kept but the hard drive is too small (and not easily upgraded). I wanted a 1 TB hard drive and the BB "chat" person told me I could put 2 hard drives in this laptop for loads of room to store my 4K video files. Well, I opened it up and found room only 1 M.2 drive, though there seemed to be another space for a 3.5 style ssd but didn't seem to have the connections ready. I guess in a few months they'll be making 1 TB M.2 laptops for this price. Keep on waiting...
