is the power input 12 VDC with a wall wart or is it a normal computer power cord (IEC 60320 C13/C14 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEC_60320#C13.2FC14_coupler)

It's more like a 12 VDC with a wall wart than a normal cord. It has a wall wart, a single cord(no filter or regulator) and the plug that goes into the monitor is a tiny square-ish thing. I don't know a ton about cables but it doesn't look like any I've seen before.

How do I unlock the menu? I don't know what I did but I get that message now. My mouse cursor doesn't work in the menu. What doI use to navigate. I am not a dummy, but this beats me.

You need to use the buttons on the back. The button after the power will open the menu and select items. The two middle move left and right and through items. The left will exit.

Nice monitor. But how do I change the OSD setting? OSD does not stay on long and I can't get toff the bottom line. If I use the keyboard, there is no effect. I do have the manual, but it just says to press arrows. Using windows 10 pro on surface pro 3.?

It's a little confusing but you need to use the buttons on the back of the monitor. The far right is power then there is a good gap. The first one after power is how you bring up the menu. the two middle ones after that move right to left. The far left will close the menu. Press the far right to select.

Is the what i'm guessing is the cable management clip on the stand removable? I like it being there an all but the color red is very unpleasing to have as a permanent attachment.

I don't believe so with how the monitor sits down into it then is screwed in at the bottom of the base.

With the way the monitor itself falls you don't really see the "red" clip. I have two, they are both different shades of orange.

Is this monitor compatible with a 2012 MacBook air and could you mount this on a wall?

You'll need a Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter if you want to connect it to this monitor.

If you are wanting to mount this you might want to look into computer monitor mounts. It snaps off it's base but if you are planning on mounting this and connecting it to a laptop, I think it would almost be easier to get a TV and an Apple TV to just connect wirelessly to it so you don't have to deal with plugging up and unplugging when you need to move.

Will this be compatible with a mac ?

You would need a converter for the cables. This only have an HDMI and VGA cable. You would have to get a HDMI to thunderbolt if you have something like a newer iMac.

could u play the xbox1 and/or the 360 on this Monitor?

I suppose you could since it has an HDMI cord but it's a little small if you are buying it just for playing x-box. I would think you could get a much larger TV for the same price.

It had a headphone jack in the back and it also comes with a power cord, HDMI, and VGA cords.

Can this monitor be connected to a dell desk top computer and how hard is it to connect. I'm elderly and need an easy hook up

Yes, you can. Depending on how old your Dell is, it will take either an HDMI cable or a VGA cable. This monitor comes with both.

The only thing you might need to do after hooking it up is going into Display Setting by right clicking your desktop so you can update the display size.
