Panasonic Does Not Stand Behind Its Products

I have had 2 of this model microwave ovens in the past 3 years. Both ovens failed. I sent emails to Panasonic on their website regarding the situation. The unit was still in the warranty period. They never responded to my emails. I let it go because I don't use the oven that much and while it only heated on Level 10, I felt I could put up with it. However, now the unit does not work at all, and I have passed the warranty period by a few months. I spoke with an agent, established a case #, and was assured that a supervisor would get back to me. I never heard back from them. I pursued it and Panasonic has stated unequivocally that they will not replace the product.
I would like to add that their automated customer service system makes it extremely difficult to reach a real person. I have spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to navigate their phone system. I found that the only way you can speak with someone is to request "Sales." You will get through, and they will then transfer you to customer service.
I will not purchase their products in the future. They do not respond to emails or follow through on telephone call backs.
