Wi-fi issues, poor range

I spent 6 hours trying to get this thing to link with my iPhone. Talked to online support multiple times. I did everything they said. I have an apple Time Capsule, and was informed I had to split the bands (2.4 and 5ghz) onto two separate networks, which I did and it still didn't work.
In non-wifi mode, the thing cleaned for 45 minutes and died, failed to dock, and it only covered the living room. The irobot roomba did my living room, kitchen, dining, and two bedrooms, and then docked on a single charge. This machine is designed for a teeny tiny apartment.
Lastly the machine requires all areas of the house to be illuminated for it to clean. So be sure you have those light strips set up under your couch or the dyson may go in a continuously overlapping pattern and leave you wondering, "gosh, it's been at it for awhile under there...should I crawl under and help it along?"
