GoPro Hero 5 is dead within two hours usage.

My GoPro Hero 5 Black went crazy after using it in a pool for a little bit over one hour. It went to the mode to take picture by itself intermittently and would not response to any button. I had went through many tips found in the tech support including upgraded firmware, removed battery, removed SD card and etc. I do not see any water in the battery case nor the USB cable outlet. The water must be leaking through the screen edge. I left GoPro to dry for a day with all doors opened, it did not recovered, but went completely dead.

I was very disappointed as it ruined by vacation. I bought this latest GoPro just for my vacation. However, it even did not last for two hours.

When I took it back to Best Buy, Best Buy tested it and confirmed it is dead. However, Best Buy refused my request for return. They said that it passed their 15 days return policy. They asked me to contact GoPro “30 day guarantee” policy. Although Best Buy eventually agreed to exchange one for me, I really lost confidence on GoPro Hero 5 Black. How come it was so easy to break? The pool water is not even 3 feet. I connect the GoPro with a float. This means that the camera was only under water about 1 or 2 feet deep, yet it had water damage without one hour usage.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
