This Sony 55-inch Android TV delivers 4K HDR video with unmatched clarity and vivid colors. The slim design fits on your entertainment console or mounts on the wall, and the 4K HDR Ultra HD screen delivers pictures four times clearer than standard HD. Sony's Poor Customer Service
on August 10, 2016

Purchased this product April 2nd 2016 from Best Buy. The product worked fine for the first 90 days but the beginning of the 4th month it would not power up. The unit was connected to a surge protector with other equipment which all were working fine so I feel pretty confident there were no outside influences which shut the unit down. I contacted customer service who claimed to have run a diagnostic thru the internet. I questioned that but I wanted to be reasonable when they suggested they would send out a new power cord and if that did not work they would send out a technician; I agreed. The new power cord arrived and that did nothing. I contacted Sony once again and once again they claimed to have run a diagnostic thru the internet and claimed it was a bad main board which would take time to order for the local technician. Again I questioned how can you actually run a diagnostic when the unit is not powering up? Again they responded it was something they had run thru there computer. The technician took 10 days to arrive and discovered it is a bad power board. Of course he did not have that part and referred us back to the same people who claimed they had run a diagnostic and it was the main board. Once again we contacted Sony and expressed our frustration that we paid $1,700 for a television that was only 3 months old that did not work. They said after much conversation that they would process an order for a new television but we really had to twist their arm. Here we are 4 weeks after the brand new Ultra High definition top of the line Sony television broke down and we first contacted them about a repair and it still remains broken. We contacted them about why the new television had not arrived or why we had not been contacted and the excuse for this not being resolved is "their system was down" so they had just put in the order. A broken unit is not what we paid for. Getting the run around by customer service is not good customer service and not the reputation we were buying into when we purchased the unit. The TV breaking down within 90 days of purchase may not be the norm but I can tell you from the 4 different times we interacted with customer service there is no concern for the customer or inconvenience caused when Sonys product does not meet even the lowest standard of performance. This may be a good TV but I won't do business with a company that will not stand behind its product and I don't recommend you do either.
I would recommend this to a friend!
