Blue skies are deep and beautiful. Just don't zoom when you're using this filter. Your photos will be very blurry, as if there was a lot of camera movement, even if you're on a tripod. Keep shopping.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

this polarized lens is tinted not clear. otherwise OK

It's a polarizing filter, not a UV filter. You'll notice bluer skies and less intense shadows if you rotate it when using.
