Cute Little Bugger

I bought this little thing for writing, reading and movie/TV watching in bed, and it is perfect. The keyboard is a perfect fit for my hands, and I can write for hours. The audio quality is better than any other laptop I have used. Screen quality is excellent, but I would suggest getting a protector ASAP, because it attracts dust like crazy. It's battery life is about ten hours, and it charges up lightning fast even if you're using it. I like being able to fold it every which way.
If you have any tabs open with HTML5, be prepared for it to run out of memory. With a small amount of RAM, this is not unexpected.
The only think I would change is the track pad. It responds well to your finger moving across it, but it has no left/right buttons. You need to use a firm hand to click anything. But since it has a touch screen and is mouse compatible, that is not a big issue.
I love it.

You walk through the brush and into a clearing. Armed with your wits and a powerful weapon that collects the energy from attacks, you feel confident that you're prepared for anything. Out here in the vast wilderness between towns and villages is where the most danger lies. Just as you begin to investigate the massive footprint on the ground, the trees begin to rustle, scaring the birds away. You feel the ground tremble and shake, and then the trees part and a beast of unbelievable proportions emerges. You take a deep breath, charge your weapon and prepare for battle — this is why you are a Monster Hunter.Become part of a traveling caravan that explores new lands and villages as a hunter in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, the latest installment in the popular Monster Hunter franchise. Craft and acquire hundreds of new items and equipment, including all-new rare and powerful G-rank weapons and armor. Take advantage of more fluid climbing motions and the inclusion of jump attacks from walls or ledges to surprise your enemies. Pay attention to the changing terrain that can be altered in battle. Some monsters can cause even ground to slant into a steep slope that could cause you to slide right out of the zone. Jump on top of monsters to deliver a furious burst of attacks with the new gameplay mechanic. Equip yourself with two new weapon classes — the Insect Glaive and the Charge Blade — in addition to the 12 previous weapon types that have been updated and enhanced. Connect with up to three other players over local wireless or via the Nintendo Network to join forces and take down larger-than-life beasts. Do you have what it takes to become the ultimate Monster Hunter?

A nice addition

If you have played the previous Monster Hunter games, you know the drill. If you have not, maybe pick up Ultimate because the learning curve is a bit steep.
Things that have changed:
- The caravan is now an waycademy, and unfortunately you no longer have maps of the different areas, just a map that shows all the different areas you can go.
- You get a moofle baby instead of a poogie. Love it, pet it, let it headbutt you, it will now sleep in your bed.
- There is now a palico recruitment base. You can have more than one palico go with you on solo missions.
- You can play as a palico, which is great for gathering missions because you don't need to stock nets for bugs or picks for mining.
I'm not too far in the game, but the more I play, the more delighted I am with it. Also, if you have a New 3DS, the c-stick helps so much with camera views.

Thinking of getting this for my boyfriend who is starting college classes in the fall. How well does this work for classes and notes?

Well, that depends on what he needs. Since it is a Chromebook, it is entirely Internet based. You can't install programs on it, only extensions for the browser. So if he needs a certain program for note taking and his classes, this is not the one for him.
