Bad Design With Known Defect

Do not buy whirlpool dishwashers.
Mine lasted a little over a year before I started experiencing major issues, like the top drawer breaking, I called the company, and they informed me it was a known defect, but made me purchase the repair kit and make the repair myself. It cost about $50 to buy the kit, but this was just the start.
About a month later I have stopped using the and have been washing everything by hand. The dishes would not get clean especially the top rack.
I finally called my home warranty company and they sent a repair man out, he said the motor had quit working and the washer needed a new motor and several filters, it was more expensive to fix it so, I and getting a $250 credit so I go find another washer. This washer lasted about 13 months before it stopped working. It is a Whirlpool Gold, I think we paid almost $700 for it and it lasted a year. I am looking for another and it will not be Whirlpool. Bad product and bad customer service.
