Went online and did a search for good alternative to Macintosh displays and HP came up. I saw this 23" IPS LED HD option on sale at bestbuy.com for under $100.00. The Apple 27" Thunderbolt is $999.00. This monitor is 86% the size at 10% the price... easy decision. Out of the box it was instantly mirroring... a few settings changes and a quick Color calibration – that took 5 minutes – and it is 5-by-5. Easy choice.

Its this monitor compatible with any mac?
Compatible with 21.5 late 2012 iMac – Just needs the DVI-to-HDMI adaptor. Go for it. This monitor has excellent quality brightness and control settings. Easy choice for $100 bucks. I presume my GF's MacBook Air (early 2015) will be just as good.
