It's sad that Jeff Buckley died so young with only one great album, "Grace," completed. That album was sufficient to gain him a legion of followers who are still hungry for anything by Jeff that they can their hands on, and they will love this collection of stripped-down demos recorded before "Grace." The included tracks reveal the wide range of Buckley's influences and include a couple of Smiths covers and some surprises, like his take on Sly & the Family Stone's "Everyday People." Fans will want this, but new listeners might want to start with "Grace" or "Live from Sin-e" for the full Buckley experience.
