Perfect for blocking unwanted frequencies

I purchased this product after doing some research on this company and the reputation for their products because it's important in my line of work to be able to block all signals/frequencies on my mobile device and laptop when necessary.
I am happy to report that my smartphone, when in this sleeve, does not send or receive any signals. I tested this for GPS, RFID, Bluetooth, and NFC.
As for the quality, the leather is very soft, the stitching looks thick and well done, and I do not anticipate having any issues with it.
There's a very interesting magnetic seal at the top of the sleeve, and it would appear to have metallic wires sewn together. I believe this creates a complete circuit and perhaps it's why it works this well. I have not seen this type of seal on other similar products.
If you're looking to go "off grid" when necessary, start here.

Works sometimes

So the idea of this product is very cool and I want it to work well, but it simply doesn't. I used this on three trips and each time the exact same thing happened. The bag wouldn't close well and sort of had a bulge in the edge. I'm not sure if it's the design or the material (or user error, always a possibility) but it didn't quite close. I tried sending data to test if it mattered and sure enough it went through. It is a nice product and like I said a cool idea but still not quite right for constant use.

Sounds like a sizing issue

Yo Andy,
Sounds like you had something too big in there. I use an XL sleeve of theirs for my iPad, and it has to fit in order for that closure to seal tightly. Knowing a little bit about Faraday cages, I can tell you that there has to be a complete circuit for it to work right. So if it didn't quite close, as you say, then there's no complete circuit. That's why data was getting through - signals can get through millimeters of space so it has to be closed all the way. That magnetic closure has to be clasped tightly together.
I use mine everyday and some of the info I deal with is quite sensitive. Never had an issue with signals getting in or out of the thing, or I wouldn't be able to use it in my line of work.
The two products I have are great, so don't let one review steer you away from them. Great company, good customer service, too.
