Disappointed and Unsatisfied

Video quality is poor on windows 10 PC. If you hard wire the device, you STILL need to remove and charge the device. Customer support said the battery runs down due to lots of activity (they defined it as 2 to 3 activities per day) . Well we get salespeople, windy conditions, lizards crawling on the porch daily and all activate the motion.
The device never notified me of low battery. It was and is inconvenient removing and charging this device. Charge doesn't even last 60 days. I was told that it maintains a little charge. So, when I discovered this, I stopped charging it. This is an expensive device for it to not work as designed.
It doesn't always notify you of activity, or it is very delayed.
They also don't tell you that your WiFi router must be within 10 feet of the device. Mine is about 15 - 20 feet away. They said to purchase an extender and connect the Ring to the extender. Well, this just makes it more expensive.
Ring offered the new version, but said I would have to pay the difference, which is about $50. I don't think so! Why invest more money in something that may or may not work.
Great concept and technology, but it just does not work as expected. Ring needs to disclose more and test more. I am not pleased and would not recommend this $200 device. It needs to improve, significantly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
