Avoid "professional installation"
on April 14, 2016

I bought a Bosch dishwasher to replace an older similar Bosch model. I also purchased the water line/power kit and the "professional installation".
The old dishwasher was connected to the hot water line, as recommended by the manufacturer. The same line is supplying the kitchen faucet. The technician disconnected that line and connected the new dishwasher to the sink cold water line. He finished the installation, tested the dishwasher and left. After he left, we noticed that there is no hot water in the sink faucet - the hot water valve in the basement was left shut . We opened the supply valve, and water started gushing out from the pipe near the kitchen floor. The guy had disconnected the old dishwasher from the hot water line but left the pipe open! When I called him, he told me "keep that supply valve shot, you don't need it any more, I connected the dishwasher to the other line" Unbelievable!
Now we have to wait 2 days for somebody to come and fix the mess.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
