Got this as part of a bundle. Small & light and my D500 (kit lens attached) and a couple accessories fit nicely. But I don't understand the function of the flap. There is no compartment in it and it only partly covers a small zip compartment on the bag's front. Is this something the marketing dept. designed? Why waste money on a useless feature? I'd rather have a larger zip compartment and a pocket for my tablet.

kanehi, you must be looking at a different bag than mine??? There is no storage compartment on the flap and it does not cover the main zip compartment so cannot perform the functions you described.
