Dave's Reviews

Work, rest and play with the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. A massive 5.5-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen goes all the way to the edges of the phone so that you get the maximum area possible to work with. Solid water resistance, great processing and masses of memory round out this Samsung Galaxy S7 edge.

Glitchy
on March 27, 2016

The phone would randomly and repeatedly generate notifications that an sd card was installed. It was easy to swipe away the notification, but I had to do it over and over. An $800 phone shouldn't have any irritating glitches in my opinion.
I also did not like the edge panels. They seemed more gimmicky than useful. While the curved screen looks awesome, it made it so that I could not hold the phone without unintentionally touching the screen. This would lead to navigating to the wrong places. I ended up returning this phone.

Combine incredible water resistance with a great screen and a powerful processor, and you get the Samsung Galaxy S7. It's built to withstand dunks in water for up to 30 minutes, and then you can wipe it off and get playing with a 5.1-inch touchscreen. The Samsung Galaxy S7 enjoys a quad-core processor for ultra-fast responsiveness.

No bueno

I really wanted to like this phone, but it just didn't work. It power cycled on its own at random times. This happened while checking Facebook, while picking my ringtone, while talking to customer service, and even once in the middle of the night when idle. I tried updating the software and doing a factory reset, but nothing worked. The only bright side of this experience was that Best Buy was very helpful when I returned it the next day.
