If you are thinking of putting your operating system on an old 7200rpm hard disk drive, DON'T! My windows 10 on my SSD boots up in 6 seconds. 500GB is plenty of storage and by the time you get close to filling it up you can splurge for the 1TB drive. For storage a 7200 hard drive will be ok but make sure your OS is on the SSD!

Worth every penny for my skylake build. Gaming rigs do not need an 8 core processor, so going with a 4 core saved money on the build. This with an SSD drive is blazing fast.

Retail or OEM? Very important that you answer before we buy.
Retail can be used with different motherboards. The OEM binds the windows to that one motherboard. So I you ever upgrade in the future and swap out the motherboard then the OEM won't work with the new board after the swap.
