Keep laundry chores light with this 4.2 cu. ft. GE washer. Its PreciseFill button customizes water levels for different load sizes, and the dual-action agitator and auto soak features deliver thoroughly clean results. The 14 wash cycles on this GE washer provide flexible operation for different fabric types, and fast spin speeds reduce drying time.

it's loud, yes, but how well would a quiet washer clean clothing? It isn't any louder than my 20 year old washer that it replaced, it's just different noises. The tub is huge, the spin cycle is uber-efficient, which is a huge plus for me since I hang dry most things. The bad reviews seem to be a matter of not reading the manual, expecting it to be silent because it's new and not understanding the concept of HE using less water. My old machine used over 90 gallons of water to do a super size load and a second rinse. I live in CA, I can't keep using that much water. My sister has a front load HE and she hates it, so I opted for a conventional top load. I didn't even know that this had an HE rating. The rinse cycle isn't the old fashioned fill the tub and slosh your clothes in dirty, soapy water, it spins at a slower speed while it squirts water into the clothing and the water spins through and out of the clothing carrying the soap and dirt with it.
I would recommend this to a friend!
