Mixer stopped working the first day I used it

I just purchased this blender for my family to make holiday cookies. We blended our first batch with no problems. when we started on our second batch, the blend would not start. The display is lit and it flashes but the power button is useless. There is no troubleshooting section in the manual. The only reason I purchased this brand is that it came with a two year warranty and I hoping it would last at least two year but Instead it lasted for about two minutes of use. I'm very disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
