Liking this less and less

Bought this thing 6 months ago. I tried a few others (ebay from china - this is essentially a rebrand of the very same things) but this one was the best of the bunch... and in English.
First of all, no auto dimmer on the LCD??? Seriously? Blindingly bright at night, and the screen is just unresponsive enough to make dimming it manually as frustrating as humanly possible. You will either stop using it at night all together (like me), get in a wreck trying to dim / brighten it (almost like me 14 times), or rip it right off your windshield and throw it out your driver side window (me in another week).
The touch response is maddening slow. Think you touched the button? Maybe you did... maybe you didn't... and then right when you reach up to touch it again it switches screens and you touch something else... out the window!
No auto-dimming of the LCD? My grandmother has a car in the 80's that would auto dim her mirror... what year is this? And how dangerous is it not to have it?
The navigation software stopped communicating with the GPS after 4 months... Boyo is willing to repair under warrantee for this known issue (I pay shipping), but gone is the $30 additional I had to pay for app to get the GPS to work properly in the first place, as they are now using a different navigation software all together. Thank you Boyo!
Did I mention no auto-dimming? (as I squint in the blinding light of the LCD and drive into the back of a parked car....) When it does happen, it will be worth a lawsuit for someone.
About half the time I turn the rearview camera on, the front view camera comes on instead.... thanks, I can see forward just fine.
Speaking of the front camera, it is so terribly engineered to be so very unadjustable that is pretty much defeats it's own purpose. Let me explain... When in the drivers seat one must angle their rearview mirror towards them in order to see the proper place behind them... you dig? Well when one does this the camera on the front of the mirror is thereby aimed out the right side of the car. The camera is adjustable by about 10-15 degrees, at most... so you can move it back over towards the center and capture the right lanes and shoulder of the highway you are driving... this is good for when a deer jumps out of the woods on your right, or for the occasional errant merger, but very bad for capturing oncoming traffic and any other activity on your left. .. you know, the stuff the insurance company might want to see.
Now let me tell you about the lack of auto dimming....
The keyboard is the same keyboard you are going to have on your phone, not the over-sized one that you would find on a regular GPS... this, in and of itself, makes the GPS mostly worthless... unles you drive the smallest car in the world you will be sitting on your center console in order to get your face close enough to see and interact with the midget sized keyboard. pita.
Would you like to hear the driving instructions??? Too bad. Too quiet. And if you want to turn the LCD off so you can use the mirror part of your mirror and just listen to the mirror's quiet whispers, you will have to pay $30 to upgrade your app.
So, all in all, no bueno.... bù hǎo... no good. Perhaps the 700x is better... or the 800x... but I wouldn't know, because the dude on the phone, you know who you are, reneged on his half-promise to help me upgrade.
Ug. Get me a paper map.
