Nightmarish tech support & defunct Type C Port

Its a beautiful laptop with great many features for which I bought it. And one of the most important features it has is the Thunderbolt 3 (Type C) port so that I could use a Thunderbolt 3 dock and switch easily between my MacBook Pro 2016 and this laptop. Its Type C port also has Thunderbolt icon printed over it. Thunderbolt 3 is a all in one specification. Via one cable, It can give you all the USB devices, Video, Audio and power. So connect just one cable and done.
However, when I connected this laptop to a dock that I purchased for $275, its power charging was not working at all. And USB devices connected to the dock kept freezing and reconnecting.
And then my tech support nightmare started. I contacted Asus and first thing they did was to s shrug off responsibility. They just said we don't support this dock, purchase the Asus dock. I went ahead and tried 8 different docks and Type C to USB A cables. Including the Asus Dock. None worked.
So I contacted tech support again. They said send us the laptop, we will fix it. I wrote a detailed problem description and repro steps for them to test along with the laptop. But all they did was replace the motherboard and partially install the OS. When I got the laptop the Windows 10 was not even fully installed and it was asking for product key. So they had not even tested to see if the issue was gone.
Of course the issue was not gone. I had to contact again. They said send the laptop again. This time I sent a page full of problem description and how to test it. But again they replaced the motherboard and sent it back to me. Once again without testing. And the issue is still there.
I had to contact again and they said send the laptop again. Common!!! How many times should I send the laptop? I have spent $1500 on the laptop and the laptop is spending its days at the Asus service center. WTH???
When I said I will not send the laptop again and that I need a replacement, they told me that they will give me a laptop which is rejected by someone. That means I will inherit someone else's problem laptop. And for that too they said they will get back to me. And they have not called me back since.

Since last two months I have been hopelessly playing these games with Asus Tech Support. And no doubt it is the worst ever tech support I have experienced in my life so far.

All The latest features: 4K, USB-C Thunderbolt 3, Multiple USB, Full Size HDMI, 512SSD & 2TB, 16RAM, Number Keypad, Intel 7, Convertible, all at a reasonable portable weight. A lot for the money. Plays nicely with a StarTech Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station with full resolution supported on multiple screens. No complaints so far!

Question about thunderbolt 3 dock

Hi,
I have this laptop and a StarTech dock. But My usb ports are not working properly with this dock. I tested with the Apple dock and its the same problem. The mouse/keyboard keeps disconnecting and reconnecting again and again every few seconds. Do you also have a similar problem for the usb devices connected to the dock? Which dock do you have? Does it support 4k monitors? I would really appreciate your answers.
