Poor Build, Poor Range, Poor Bluetooth
on December 22, 2015

Picked them up on sale for $34.99 and thought I was getting a GREAT deal based on the reviews. Alas, very disappointed and promptly returned them.
PROS
- Sound is good for a $34.99 Bluetooth headphone. Bass-forward emphasis.
CONS
- Small soundstage. Sound separation is non-existent, so sound is rather "compressed" feeling.
- Cheap build. Although light, the plastic is low-grade and feels like it could break easily.
- Poor Bluetooth reception. Starts skipping at less than half the advertised distance.
- Poor Bluetooth pairing. Does not pair with many Samsung devices built in 2014 (TV, etc.).
- Average fit. While they are somewhat comfortable, they do put a little more pressure on the ears due to the simplistic design.
Overall, this is good for children & teenagers, first-time Bluetoothers, or just very casual listening at a bargain price. However, right now for only $15 more, you can get the superior sounding Sony MDR-ZX330BT on sale for $49.99 (Reg. $99.99). The sound, build quality, and comfort are much better, while the Bluetooth range is FAR superior.

Good, Not Mind-Blowing
on December 21, 2015

I bought these gave them a fair shot for 3 days, then returned them and purchased the Monster Adidas Sport Adistar, which retails for $80 less and I like better.
Sound: Good, clean, clear, sound signature. Delivers a surprising amount of bass for 6mm drivers, which will satisfy most (except for bass-heads). Good soundstage.
Fit: Average. Took literally 30 mins. to try and get a good fit combination of ear tips and fins. Got a secure fit, but it was a bit uncomfortable. I have it a few days, and although secure, it never got better. It left a portion of my upper ear fold raw and sensitive.
Bluetooth: Good range, but it's nothing you wouldn't expect at this price range. Actually, the Monster Adidas Sport Adistar has better range. "SignalPlus", whatever that is or does, amounts to no added real-world benefit.
Mic/Calls: Callers reported my voice sounded clear and near. Nobody specifically knew I was on an earbud mic until...I began to move around. The mic is good if left in place, however, based on my experience, if you're raising your arms or moving around, such that there is some obstruction #not entirely# in front of the mic, it has trouble picking your voice up.
Overall, solid and definitely above average, however, I was expecting to be "WOWd" at this price point, but I was not. At a lower price, I was totally floored with the overall performance of the Monster Adidas Sport Adistar Bluetooth earbuds, which I recommend over the X2s.

Get What You Pay For
on December 21, 2015

I bought these, used them for a week and returned them. I was still left wanting.
On "sale" for $49.99, which is a bit misleading. Sony's MSRP is $99.99, but I've rarely seen these actually at that price, here or anywhere #Amazon.com, etc.#. These are basically "OK" Bluetooth earbuds and what you'd expect for a $50 pair, which is not comparable to $100 sets #i.e. Monster Adidas Sport Adistar#.
Sound: Average. Soundstage feels "compressed". Bass-forward emphasis, however, sound is not completely clean and sounds a bit "hazy".
Fit: Good fit. Didn't have any issues with them falling out. Comfortable for extended periods of time.
Bluetooth: Good range. No hiccups with routine movements and distance from the source.
Mic: Average mic. While I was heard on the other end, I was informed by several people at different times that I sounded a tad faint.
Overall, a $50 Bluetooth in-ear set for $50. Do NOT expect the quality of a $100 set for $50. Sony is marketing these to give the consumer the perception of value, when in reality, they're getting exactly what they're paying for.
I would recommend these as a budget pick for those who are active and want something that sounds decent, but don't want to fork out $100 or more. If you want everything and price is no object, I recommend the Monster Adidas Sport Adistar, which I rate over the Jaybird X2s #I returned my X2s for the Monsters and am 100% glad I did#.

I'm not, by definition, a true audiophile, but I am a guy that likes things that sound good, and boy do these things sound good! Like the eye test, this is a sound test, and it passes with flying colors.
- Rich sound. Excellent, clean bass. Solid mid-range. Good highs that are not overpowered by the low-end.
- Perfect fit. Very comfortable right out of the box. Wore for 5 hours straight with no ear fatigue.
- Clear calls over the mic. I tried a pair of Monster iSport Wireless Earbuds (returned them#, which had a similar sound signature, however, the mic was poor quality and was told I sounded distant & faint #adjusted the mic location several times to no avail#. These pic up your voice perfectly, in fact, several people didn't even know I was using a Bluetooth mic on earbuds.
- Bluetooth reception. Excellent. Barring physical walls, etc. the advertised range is quite accurate. Compared to another of Monster's products, specifically the iSport Wireless at a similar price point, the range on these blow that away. I do NOT recommend the Monster iSport Wireless, as the range is quite poor.
After the Monster iSport Wireless #poor mic, bad Bluetooth range), I decided to fork out the cash for the Jaybird X2s. The X2s have a sound signature that is less bass-forward, but very clear. However, I had issues getting a good, secure fit. Once I did get them in securely, they were rather uncomfortable for any period longer than about 30 mins. I also prefer a bass-forward sound signature, so even with the excellent clarify of the X2s, I was still left wanting. I returned them for these, saved $$$, and I have no regrets. 100% satisfied.
I definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a wireless in-ear solution, both for the gym and just general listening.

Can these headphones be rinsed off in the sink after a workout?

No. They are simply water/sweat resistant, meaning they are advertised to be able to stand up to a workout environment. They can be wiped down with a damp alcohol wipe.
