Nice but flawed

I have spent a few days trying to really like this keyboard case but it seems one thing after another keeps preventing that. First, it was the heft that it added to a sleek iPad Pro that took it over 3# but I accepted the trade off for the function and got a little used to it. Then, the fact that when using it in reading mode, the exposed edge of the iPad is scraping against the metal of the wrist rest just illustrated the lack of thought put into using the device like this. The worst though was I noticed this morning that due to the side mounts that hold the iPad in place, there is so much pressure that my iPad is actually bowing up in the middle! Yes.... BENDING my iPad in the center due to so much stress from this mount. Incidentally, I also bought the Create without the keyboard to use as a match for times when I wanted to travel lighter and didn't need a keyboard and it has the same bend problem. It looks like both of these are going back and I'm just going to pay up and get the Apple cover. For this amount of money, the product should be engineered to fit properly and not potentially damage your device. The Apple keyboard might not have backlighting and a few function keys but I'd rather know that the product comes from the same designers that created the iPad in the first place so they should know the best way to accessorize their creation.
