This heater should work well to heat your apartment. I heat a 500sq.ft. space with mine, but I do have a less expensive backup electric heater just in case. I've only used the product for 2 weeks, but so far it's working great. It works just as well as the duraflame electric heaters that look like a small fireplace with flames. I've used the duraflame heater for over 5 years. It's a lot less expensive and it's reliable. I hope this reply helps.
