Take on a new adventure with Sora in Kingdom Hearts Remix for the PlayStation 4. With six titles in one, this video game lets you explore other worlds with Donald Duck and Goofy to help Sora find his friends. With Kingdom Hearts Remix, you can also play mini games online with friends for even more fun.
This collection contains "6" kingdom hearts remastered games in one package. Though this isn't a complete collection, it is complete with all games that came out on old systems. If you are new to the series, play this before playing Kingdom Hearts 2.8 which contains two new experiences and the 3ds game remaster. Skip to bottom if you just want to know play order recommendation.
Kingdom Hearts first came out on the PS2 and it still holds up very well. One of the developers of final fantasy had a crazy idea to combine their work with Disney. And it become one of the most beloved games among those who played it. But do not think this is just for little kids, by increasing the game's difficulty it can become quite challenging. They are real time action games (with one exception), so you are in direct control of the main character instead of giving him a set of commands like in original final fantasy games and pokemon. Matter of fact the recent FF15 game's combat is heavily inspired from Kingdom Hearts so if you like that, you'll love KH's combat. Essentially you play as Sora as he learns about the existence of other worlds and that he is a keyblade wielder. You join Donald and Goofy to fight the darkness. Each game can be 35-60 hours long depending on how much side content you play. The game have been updated to 60 frames per second but know there is a day one patch.
As you may have notice I put 6 in quotes. That is because 2 games are in the form of movies instead of a remaster port. But don't worry coded isn't worth the time playing through. This collection (in original release order and platform) contains: Kingdom Hearts (PS2) Chain of Memories (GBA, combat is a blend of action and a card system) Kingdom Hearts 2 (PS2) 365/2 Days (DS, movie) Birth by Sleep (PSP, prequel) coded (DS, not that important, movie)
For newcomers I HIGHLY recommend playing the games in release order (see above). Yes Birth By Sleep and 365/2 Days are prequels with the story, but some things will be spoiled and/or not much of a surprised if you play the game in story order. The games were somewhat made expecting you to have played previous entries. For example BBS characters already know there are other worlds while Sora in KH1 doesn't and so you learn with him about these worlds. Even if you have played some but not all the games, I still suggest playing in release order because it will be tough going from Birth By Sleep to KH1 because BBS has the better polish combat since it came out later. Only kingdom hearts fans that have played most if not all the games I can see playing in timeline story order. Timeline order is BBS->KH1->CoM->365/2->KH2->coded.
Clash on the battlefields of tomorrow and choose your hero from a diverse cast of soldiers, scientists, adventurers, and oddities. Bend time, defy physics, and unleash an array of extraordinary powers and weapons. Engage your enemies in iconic locations from around the globe in the ultimate team-based shooter. Take your place in Overwatch. The world needs heroes.
Overwatch is probably my most played game this year. It is a first person shooter where each character has certain set unique abilities. The motivation/reward in playing this game is the gameplay itself and not loot like upgraded guns. Though you do earn cosmetic character items like skins, voice lines, sprays, ect. This is an online only game that is more about objects than killing other players.
Pros: Gameplay is about working as a team Anyone at any skill can feel useful even if they can not get kills (like healers) Blizzard is/will support the game, many special events, new characters, balance changes Good medal system Great when playing with friends, still good if you don't have any Majority of characters are a good balance, diverse characters Shows your own highlights
Cons: Online only, no local player, no co-op campaign even though it has so much story and lore Some things like play of the game encourages kills than team work winning moments, favors kills Some characters do not seem useful/ very hard to master on the console version like Widowmaker (on PC she's better) Competitive mode need more work as of time of writing. Like group finding balance, people leaving, rank decreases/increases Now with the new arcade mode longer wait times in finding matches Loot boxes are random and can be super annoying, can't buy your favorite skin if you wanted.
If you are not sure if you would like this game the devs have already had open weekends 3 times already.
Lonely Cardia lives every day isolated from the world — restricted to an abandoned mansion on the outskirts of Victorian-era London. She remains here as a promise to her father, as her body carries a deadly poison that immediately rots or melts anything with which her skin comes in contact. This abnormality has prompted the locals to dub her as a "monster". It was two years ago when she last spoke to her father, as he instructed her to stay hidden and never fall in love. One day, the Royal Guards break in to capture her, and it is at this time she meets Arsène Lupin, a chivalrous thief, who helps her escape the guards. Soon, the formerly isolated young girl finds herself on a journey with Lupin to locate her father — who holds the answers to her mysterious affliction.Step into the role of a lonesome young girl who is hiding a terrible secret in Code: Realize -Guardian of Rebirth-. Possessing a poisonous touch, she renders quick death to any would-be companions. Now, five classic European literary figures, must help her uncover her terrible past through a rich, branching narrative that is affected by every decision you make. More than 30 hours of gameplay, as well as the stunning visuals bring a re-imagined Victorian-era London to life. Steampunk motifs and more provide a unique look at this revolutionary time in history. Are you ready to help this girl discover the truth behind her past?
This is a great visual novel. In the otome genre us fans can be quite lenant on our games since we hardy get any localization. However this is a good visual novel on it own rights. We are getting the sequel as well sometime in 2017.
Pros: Good story even before the romance, enough where guys can even enjoy The romance especially in certain routes is really good Characters personalities and story still show/make sense in other characters routes The heroine is actual a heroine, not boring, and does things on her own Top notch Japanese voice acting Beautiful art and music Good length, Guys are all different
Cons: Some finer details may not make sense but it doesn't get in the way of the story. Lupin is locked until you finish all the other routes *Minor Spoiler* not all guys get a kissing CG
This is a great film. You follow a young kid when her parents get trapped in the spirit world and she has to save them but also keep herself from becoming trapped as well. This is a big fan favorite of Studio Ghibli films and my personal favorite. Some scenes can be confusing for those that are new to anime or Japanese culture but that will not hinder your enjoyment.

Never played this series but always wanted to. Numbering is a little confusing. So if i bought this collection and finished it, would the next game be 2.8 final prologue, and then KH 3?
