I have had my Surface 3 for about two months and haven't had any of the problems indicated in some of the reviews. I use mine at work to listen music, read emails and occasionally surf the web. I wasn't happy with media player or Groove music so downlaoded Microsoft Zune software. I own 3 Zunes and always liked their software. Apple iTunes also works well for music. I have lots of tablets and really like this one with being able to use a mouse. It is also nice to be able to use full size programs rather than apps. Adobe reader as an example. I wasn't willing to put out the big money for the Surface Pro and I am glad I didn't. For my intended purpose this is just perfect. Figure out exactly what you intend to do with your new tablet then buy one that will meet your requirements. If you want your new tablet to perform like a Surface or iPad then make sure you buy one. If you buy a $99 tablet it will perform like a $99 tablet. I also updated my iPad to the newer iPad Air 2 yesterday which I am using to submit this review. These tablets are expensive so make sure you invest wisely. Have fun and enjoy the tablet you decide on. I am 60 years old, own 8 tablets, both Mac & Windows laptops and edit truck service manuals on a computer for work.
