About as user-friendly as it gets

This is by far the simplest video security system I have ever setup. I would recommend it to anyone looks for a general home surveillance system, however, if you are looking for something with much more customization features or specifics, this isn't something you're going to want.
With Arlo being such a new product from Netgear, they are already pumping out firmware updates and software feature in the few weeks i have owned this, so there are many things to look forward too from Netgear.
This is for someone that wants very basic video screening and if you stick with the 1GB free service, you wont be able to look back very far if you have (5) cameras constantly hitting motion record.
Because this is a record-to-cloud ONLY system, there is also about a 3 second delay from when it senses motion, to the time it starts recording to the cloud, so again, not a very evasive security system if your wanting to grab every frame from your specified motion detecting schedule.

We got this laptop while having a dedicated laptop and tablet, but noticed we typically like using the laptop more. So figured, why not get a convertible, so when we need to use tablet features we can on the same device. The hinges are sturdy (thus far), the touch screen seems to work great, and it comes with 12GB of memory which is great for photography and photo editing.
The laptop does come with a new Intel 6th Gen i7, however, what seems to be choking it down is the mechanical hard drive that is included. Its a very poor performing hard drive, and really kills the moment having a decent mobile CPU installed. So right away, we ordered an SSD to hopefully have the ability of utilizing the full potential of this laptop.
The 4K screen is really nice and again is a really nice machine for basic photograph and/or video editing and watching movies.
The only other down-side to this machine is the touch-pad having gone pretty wonky only after a couple weeks of using it. Probably one of the lowest quality touch-pads I have used, but it does have it perks as well. Touch-pads typically come down to personal preference and what you utilize the machine for when using it portability.

This remote is a must have if your are using your X1 for any media playing features! It has an accelerometer to detect when using the remote to activate the back-lit keys and to which side you are using. One side is IR and another is using the included USB dongle for communications.

This SD\Micro-SD card is currently on sale. I needed a secondary SD storage after I purchased a Nikon D7100 and wanted something with the strongest specs available today. This one does the job @95MB Read / 90MB Write, for $20 and it comes with the adapter to convert it from its original form factor of Micro-SD to Standard SD.

Read nothing but great things regarding this model Nikon and bundled with a couple great lens was a tough thing to pass up.
Couldn't wait to charge the battery to start snapping shots, lo n behold we were blown away. Many features that a professional would use and options to point n shoot. Everything.

Just purchased, this item is a BestBuy only item (Not listed on Toshiba's website) and online reviews are limited. The model # on BB's website is: P55W-C5316-4K and on the box states: PSPVTU-008001 and the box is correct verified on Toshiba's Warranty Information page by entering the serial # and model #. However, once you verify the information the Model Name is: SATELLITE P50W-C. This is just a little confusing and needs some clarification.
BB also has listed in the specifications that this laptop has an Ethernet port, that is incorrect... It does not have an Ethernet port.
I was able to successfully replace the 1TB HDD to a SSD by removing all the screws on the bottom and using a guitar pic all around the edge to loosen/pop the cover off (there is nothing attached to the cover).
Will update again with detail review of this laptop, so far so good.

Computer compatible system OS X iMac w/ modem
I do not have a smart phone.... however, my office has a new Mac with OS X El Capitan. Is this a good match for your system with 4 remote cameras. The data goes to the iCloud.. for Apple ? and the software will get it for me if there is an event or I choose to see what has happened recently.
This is a system that utilizes strictly a web interface for configuration and\or smart phone app. Currently, it only records the footage to Arlo's cloud system and you can only manually download the footage from there. It will notify the user of motion detection via email and record that footage to Arlo's cloud storage only.

Yep. Along with an SD Card, camera case, adapter case, optical viewer cover, two lens, learning DVD, lens holder, and camera body strap.

Both slots are used. You will have to replace one or both modules with larger sticks, but I don't know the maximum support module per slot.

How many hours will this laptop run before needing charging? Thanks.
Completely depends on what the machine is doing during the battery session and screen brightness. General web browsing will get about 4.5 hours and watching movies\heavy usage will get about 2.5 at 50% brightness on Toshiba's ECO mode.

Touchpad
Is the touchpad on this laptop similar to the one on the majority of the 5th gen intel c series radius models or has Toshiba gone back to the firmer mousepads similar to the b series 4tth gen Intel radius products?
Seems to still be the same soft (kind of flimsy) full button touch pad. It nice at first, but does loosen up quickly after little use and can become frustrating - so I can completely understand the questioning of this.
