Don't bother purchasing this microwave because it is horrible. I have had it 4 months and it broke already. The start button doesn't work which means the microwave doesn't turn on. When I first purchased it, it made a high pitched screaming noise while it was on. That was concerning and annoying. After a couple months, that went away. It is cheaply made and takes forever to heat anything. Do your research and buy something better quality and definitely not from Sharp. Their customer service department is horrible. I have contacted them 10 times in the last 3 weeks and every time I call they either disconnect me or redirect me and then hang up or tell me its the wrong time of the day. All sorts of stories. I have my reciept and they keep giving me the run around because there is a 1 year manufacturer warranty and clearly they don't want to replace it. So don't purchase this if you want to save yourself a headache. And if you do, get a warranty through Best Buy because it won't last you long.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
