I purchased this to keep a back up of my other tb hard drives. I started copying over the first hard drive and this Seagate disconnected and reconnected. I started the backup again.. and the same thing .. disconnected..
I changed cables to from a WD 4tb block hard drive that Ive used for 2yrs now and know it works. All I get now from the Seagate is tick.. tick.. tick.. and I don't even have to wind it.. the hard drive failed, quit.. no longer accessible .. going with a WD brick hd instead of a portable.. Bah
