As always, Disney has come out with another amazing documentary about wildlife. The way the story is told about the bear family and their struggle to survive is amazing. You really feel like you are there experiencing it along with them. You notice that you begin to root for them and want to help them along. The movie has a way of evoking emotions to carry you into the movie. This is a great way to teach kids and the family about bears and nature and how even in the animal kingdom, it's a struggle to survive.
The movie is about an evil woman who inherits a mansion from her late father. Later, she realizes that the mansion is haunted and enlists the help of Dr. Harvey who is "trained" in the field of paranormal activity and is trying to help the dead with "unfinished business" crossover. While he is doing this, he is also trying to contact his deceased wife Amelia. Dr. Harvey also cares for his young daughter, Kat, who befriends one of the ghosts named Casper. Casper is also a young ghost who lives with his ghost uncles in the mansion. The three uncles wreak havoc (in a fun/annoying way) for Dr. Harvey and his daughter. Casper tries to make their stay pleasant. What ensues are the adventures of Casper, his uncles, Kat, and Dr. Harvey who are trying to keep the evil woman from destroying the house because of a hidden "treasure." The movie may be frightening for children around the ages of 3-5. Other than that, it's a cute and funny movie for the entire family.
The bag is funny and cute. It glows in the dark and has a voice box that when pressed will say a funny phrase in a Minions voice. It only says one phrase which I wish it could say more, but it will make the kids laugh. You can take the voice box out of the little pouch that is located on the inside of the bag. The bag itself is a little small if you plan on going to a lot of houses, but it is durable.
This release from Disney contains 12 short films from Walt Disney Animation that includes Frozen Fever featuring Anna and Elsa from Frozen as well as several Oscar nominated shorts.
The Blu-ray Disc contains a collection of 12 beautiful short films that vary in artistic interpretation. Each short film was created at a different and finally compiled onto one disc. The first film ("John Henry") is about the American folk hero John Henry and his mighty hammer. It is inspiring and a little sad. The second is called "Lorenzo" and is about a cat Lorenzo, who shows off his tail to a stray cat who is missing his tail. The stray cat casts a hex on his tail and gives the tail a life of its own. After a while the cat becomes annoyed to the point it wants to chop off its own tail. The third film "The Little Matchgirl." It's about a child who has to sell matches in winter on the streets of Russia. This is the saddest short film I have ever watched. The fourth film is "Prep & Landing: Operation Secret Santa." It is a comical film about two elves who have to sneak into Santa's workshop to retrieve a special box. This box is part of the gift that Mrs. Claus wants to give Santa. The fifth film is called "The Ballad of Nessie" and is about how the Lochness monster came to be in a cute way. The story told in poem form. The sixth film is "Paperman" is about a young man who meets a beautiful young woman because the paper he was holding flew out of his hands and into her face, leaving a lipstick "kiss" on it. What ensues are his failed attemps to find her. The seventh film is "Tangled Ever After" which the the sequel to "Tangled." Here it's the wedding of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. The ring bearers (Pascal and Maximus) accidentally lose the rings. Their adventure to retrieve the rings makes this film comical. The eighth film is called "Get a Horse!" This is about Mickey and Minnie when they were first created. His nemesis, Peg-leg Pete comes and tries to steal Minnie away. This film in my opinion, was very creative because of what happens Pete tries to steal Minnie. The ninth film is called "Feast." It is about a stray puppy who is taken in by a man who works at a restaurant. This man meets a woman who changes his life for the better until they break up. The puppy gets them back together. The tenth film is called "Frozen Fever." This is the sequel to "Frozen." Here it's Anna's birthday and her sister Elsa is trying hard to make it a magical birthday for her. But Elsa gets a cold which makes it difficult for her to plan the party. The eleventh film is called "How to Hook Up Your Home Theater." This was created in similar fashion of the old Goofy cartoons with Goofy reading a how-to-manual and creating a mess in what should've been an easy process. The final short is called "Tick Tock Tale." It is about a small clock is bullied by other bigger and more elaborate clocks. One day, the store where the clocks live is burglarized and the small clock comes to the rescue. This movie is not only great for families, but also for those interested in different art forms.
The movie is about 2 FBI special agents (agent Sarah Ashburn and agent Shannon Mullins) who are trying to apprehend a known gangster. Both agents are "unique" in their own way. One agent (Ashburn) is arrogant and condescending while the the other agent (Mullins) swears like a sailor and has no regard for following protocol. Ashburn reluctantly agrees to team up with Mullins to bring down the drug dealer. What ensues is hilarious comedy (with a lot of swearing and violence). It does have an unexpected plot twist and backstory which makes it interesting.
