That is a tough question. Nikon are great cameras, I own 7 of the DSLRs. The thing is if you get a Nikon body that is weather sealed and has a Magnesium body, chances of you breaking them are kind of tough. What would make you break your camera is not doing certain things right. For example, when you changes lenses, make sure you turn off the camera and then change the lens. If you change your lens while the camera is turned on would attract dirt to stick to the sensor. Remember Nikon consumer cameras only go up to 50,000 clicks. After that, the camera starts to have issues. Personally, I would not get a warranty.
