I've had the watch now for about 3 days. Just wanted to go over a couple features about the product that some of you may be wondering about.
Heart Rate Sensor- Very accurate. Recognizes HR fast. Only does HR when exercising. No sleep or resting HR. This is supposed to change in a future update.
Music- Loading music is a pain but not the worst thing I've had to do. Music playback is pretty awesome. I have a Jaybird Bluebuds X headset. Music sounds pretty good and I have yet to have any skips in playback. I am able to control the volume and skip tracks on the headset itself.
Sleep- Tracks sleep pretty accurately. Not sure if it does it by you being still for a while or what but I took the watch off for about an hour and it didn't recognize this as sleep so sleep tracking has been good. Would be nice if it tracked deeper sleep but I'm fine with just knowing the amount of sleep I got.
Battery Life-Been excellent so far. When using it for sleep and just steps, the battery barely goes down. Using it for music, HR, and GPS, it does go down a little bit but so far I am very impressed with battery life. I have not had to charge it yet. It's about 60% (3 days and nights (sleep) that includes a 15 minute run with GPS, HR and Music and also an hour workout with HR and music).
Software- I really like the buttons and interface of the watch. Very user friendly and easy to figure out. Has a daily and weekly view for steps, calories, miles, hours of activity, and sleep. I really like the weekly view because I'm not always able to workout every day. This makes hitting my goals a lot easier because I'm able to make up for it on another day. Setup was easy and menus are cake to navigate.
App/Bluetooth- This is the reason I'm giving this thing 4 stars. I have yet to be able to sync the watch to the app completely. I was able to get a partial sync once but usually it disconnects after around 13%. I have had to sync it through the website which requires me to plug the watch into the computer every time I want to look at my activities. Also, when connecting to Bluetooth earphones, make sure the earphones are on before you search for them on the watch(or else they won't connect as easy)
Watch/Strap- The watch itself is very comfortable. I am not a huge fan of watches and I have had other watches in the past that are only comfortable for a short amount of time. Usually I hate wearing them while sleeping. I have not had that problem with this watch. I actually forgot I had it on a couple times. The strap is very secure due to the 3 different places it connects. This is absolutely amazing when you are working out. Even when the watch is tight on my wrist, it does not cut off blood flow (something I have had a problem with other watches and activity trackers). I am using the Large strap by the way(I'm a male, 5'10(1.78M), 190 Lbs(86.2kg), sporty build). Also something to note is that the watch is smaller than I thought it would be and this is a great thing. Big watches can be annoying when working out or even just doing everyday tasks. This one is not.
Workouts- So far I have done a "Gym" and "Run" session with the watch. I have been very happy with both. The HR was constant. The GPS was on point and the music never cut out. During the run, it shows your pace, right on the main screen. Which is awesome because I usually try to keep a similar pace during the entire run. Using the buttons to go up or down will show you other metrics like calories burned, distance, and time since you started. Very easy to navigate while running. It also breaks down each mile. In the picture I uploaded, I ran a mile and a half. It shows HR, speed and pace for each specific mile. At the bottom of the picture, it shows my HR and Pace for the entire run. In the middle is the map of my run. It was just around a track but still pretty awesome.
Notifications- No support for notifications yet but this is also supposed to be coming in a future update
I will do my best to update this review when I have tried other activities like swimming. If you have any other questions, please comment and I will do my best to answer them.

I talked to customer service about the issue with it syncing to the app. They recommended that I reset the device to factory settings. This is kind of a pain to have to do. I will probably end up doing it though so that it will hopefully fix the issue before I have a lot of data on it.
I'm pretty sure it's an issue with the app because the app has terrible reviews. Less than 3 stars on Android and I think it's even worse than that on IOS. I did have an issue with the watch though during my last workout. I was using the gym mode and it just stopped the music, workout mode, and went back to the watch screen. I'm keeping my score at 4 stars despite this because it is a brand new product and there are bound to be bugs. Hopefully there will be a software update that fixes these things soon.

Angel,
As far as I can see, there is no way for it to give you readouts every so often. The only way is to press the buttons to change the stats that it shows you. I'm not sure if this is coming later on but I know a few people in the TomTom forums have recommended this.

Wow
September 4, 2016
So I have had this for almost a year now (This is my review), and I have to say that I'm very impressed. I had to get a replacement for the first one because of hardware issues, but the second one has been a tank. I had to get a new strap about 8 months in because it broke, but I use this quite a bit. Both times I have had to contact customer service has been a great experience. TomTom has been awesome both times. The device works wonderfully. I have noticed a couple hiccups with the HR monitor taking a little bit to start rising when my HR does. This is most likely because I have a decent amount of armhair and sweat though. Anyways, really impressed. If you are looking for a fitness tracker with awesome features that works well, this is it.

How long does the battery last? I am attempting my first marathon, and am going to be running for somewhere near 6 hours. I read in one of the reviews that battery life was 5 hours without music, and even less with music playing. Is this accurate?

I would say that it's about 5 hours with music and GPS running. Without music, you should get more.
