I had given up hope, but here it is! Those of us who have collected sigil covers for all the other 5 seasons are very relieved they didn't abandon this. I wasn't sure what sigil(s) they would use at this point, but the Seven Pointed Star is perfect, especially with the role The Faith played in the season. The cover is beautiful and features a gold outline on the emblem that really catches the light, plus the traditional embossed Game of Thrones logo. There's also a neat texture all over the slipcover, particularly noticeable on the back, that plays off of the stone look. The only thing that's a little odd is that on the back, where all previous slipcovers have featured the motto of each House, this slipcover features the words "I AM NO ONE" which is a quote from the Faceless Men rather than anything to do with The Faith. I get why they did it, but it does feel a bit odd to be mixing groups like that. Plus once you take the slipcover off, the same exact image is on the back of the hard case, so it's pretty redundant, packaging-wise. Still, just really glad Best Buy finally released this! Here's hoping we won't be waiting as long for a season 7 sigil cover edition!
Movie's a riot, which I'm sure everyone already knows. The steelbook itself isn't my all-time favorite design (was the super old quote about "being yourself" necessary for the cover?) but it is fun and the yellow design with Lego studs all over is the best part. The inside artwork is pretty cool, though I feel like they could've come up with something a bit more Lego-y, maybe a lineup of all the villains since they play such a big part in the movie. Anyway, the steelbook is official Steelbook brand and of course very high quality with a nice glossy finish. Not the most must-have steelbook ever, but if you find it and love the movie, certainly pick it up.
First off I'll say the movie is great and a lot of fun, especially if you're a fan of movies themselves, as the love of cinema plays a large role in the film. But you can find in-depth reviews of the movie elsewhere. I'd just like to say that the Blu-ray itself is a great buy, terrific image quality, solid audio, and some really cool extras (including a surprisingly in-depth 40 minute making-of feature and the full 5-minute cut of the short film Greg makes for Rachel in the movie). If you enjoyed the movie, I would highly recommend picking up this disc, especially considering the movie's great rewatch potential.
