...I mean about the amount being spent. I've already spent the funds. =P
This is a great option if you want to purchase items from the PlayStation Store and don't have time to go to your local Best Buy (especially when something is on sale on the PS store for a limited time).
You'll get a confirmation e-mail stating that your order is being processed, followed momentarily by another e-mail that will contain the code needed to be entered via PSN in order to redeem the amount purchased.
It's fast, it's reliable, it's easy, and it's safer than saving your credit card information on your PlayStation account.
What's great about it: fast, reliable, easy, safer

There's not much to review here.
The funds are added into your PlayStation Network "wallet" as soon as the code is entered.
Just follow the instructions on the back of the card.
I've never wanted to use a credit card online (and I'm glad that I didn't, especially since PSN was hacked), and this card works as it should.
If you need to purchase items from the PlayStation store, your best bet is to get a PlayStation Network card.
And the best part of it all...
*YOU GET REWARD ZONE POINTS IF YOU PURCHASE THIS CARD AT BEST BUY!*
Do you get any Reward Zone points with a direct credit card payment to the PlayStation store? (Well, unless it's a Best Buy credit card...)

What's great about it: Reward Zone eligibility, safer than online credit card

Maxwell is back — with a few choice words. In this Scribblenauts follow-up, Maxwell has a whole new set of goals to achieve and problems to solve. Once again, he'll have to use his smarts to combine objects and adjectives to create outrageous and nonsensical creatures. With Super Scribblenauts's updated dictionary that contains hundreds of new objects, this should be a piece of flying cake.Use one, two or more adjectives — out of a database of more than 10,000 — to modify hundreds of objects to do your bidding for you in Super Scribblenauts. With more than 120 all-new levels, you might want to break out the dictionary and thesaurus to help Maxwell get creative and beat each level. This time around, you can track your progress through the universal feedback system, purchase more explicit hints and create both puzzle and action levels with the new level editor. All you need is a prolific vocabulary and a wild imagination to help Maxwell succeed.

For All to Creatively Enjoy

Super Scribblenauts is one of the best Nintendo DS games that I have ever played. It's not the most perfect game there is on the system, but the level of creativity this game incorporates makes it almost like "the LittleBigPlanet of the Nintendo DS console" without the same amount of level creation.
Think of almost any word out there (with the exclusion of cursing), and its image will appear right in front of you after you write or type in the word using the stylus. There are spelling suggestions if a word is not spelled correctly. You can incorporate almost any [recognizable] adjective before any noun. The system will do its best to emulate that word(s) as the proper image. Hyphens nor commas in between adjectives are not necessary. Some word choices might end up emulating the same image.
For example, you can type (or free-write) "giant spotted green dragon." Putting in "large spotted green dragon" might lead to the same image. The same goes for "bazooka" and "RPG."
You can even put in "three headed mongoose," feed it "poison," and treat it with a "doctor" or a "veterinarian."
Show a "fat boy" some "extremely spicy chicken," watch him eat it, and watch him run frantically while asking for water. Treat him with "Tabasco sauce," and watch him panic even more - fun, creative cruelty.
Write "oven," get a "frying pan," and put an "egg" in the frying pan to make an omelet.
Put "dirty clothes" in a "washing machine," but don't forget the "soap" and "fabric softener."
Watch a "caveman" and a "knight" try to beat each other up. Throw in an "invisible ninja," supply him with a "shuriken," and see who becomes the winner.
The list just goes on and on. All of this can be done in the introduction screen. The music is very entertaining. You will be humming the tune in your head even after you put your DS away.
There are plenty of main levels, and they gradually get more challenging...sometimes even too challenging unless you know a lot of random history. But this keeps the game entertaining. There are also hints that can be purchased at the cost of experience points.
The best part of it all - my little brother has been able to enhance his vocabulary and spelling skills. (Yes, I got this game for him, but, as you can see, I play it a lot, too.)
Super Scribblenauts is easily a 9 out of 10.
What's great about it: addictingly fun, enhances imagination/vocabulary/spelling skills

Not as "Perfect" as CoD4 but Still Very Impressive
on November 6, 2011

There has already been a countless number of reviews for this game, so I'll try to be as brief as possible.
CoD4 had a seamlessly perfect campaign. While MW2's was also good, it was not seamless. Multi-player has been improved because of host-migration. New weapon attachments and perks to unlock will keep both casual and hardcore gamers playing for hours on end.
I do believe that this game lived up to its hype for its multi-player aspect. It's a very worthy sequel.
What's great about it: multi-player, host migration

Time to Become Resistant on the PSP!
on November 6, 2011
Posted by: FLYPino
from The ATL
Resistance: Retribution is a really good action-shooter game for the PlayStation Portable.
What I liked about this game was that it went back to its roots and felt more like Resistance: Fall of Man and that it tried to stay away from Resistance 2 - thank goodness!
The storyline makes sense, doesn't go all over the place, and is not boring. The non-regenerative health bar has made its return, making levels more challenging but not frustrating.
However, I do not like that aiming has to be used with the buttons. Having played the first two Resistance games and many other first-person shooters, I definitely had a hard time getting used to the aiming scheme. There is enough space on the PSP system for a right stick, but Sony, like almost any other business-hungry company out there, most likely wanted to save "improvements" for a future next-gen system (which is now, as of this date, the PlayStation Vita).
The in-game audio quality can also be a bit sub-par at times unless a cutscene is playing.
Overall, Resistance: Retribution is a good game to have in your PSP collection.

Welcome to Dragon Training
on November 6, 2011
Posted by: FLYPino
from The ATL
It's easy to say that the average person usually knows how to train dogs, cats, parrots, etc. Professional trainers and entertainers train lions, elephants, hawks, dolphins, etc.
Who would have thought that a toothpick-thin boy, who lacks both physical strength and athlete-like coordination, would be able to train one of the most vicious dragons through care, understanding, and friendship?
How to Train Your Dragon had to be one of the most lowly-anticipated movies of 2010. It was a so-called "Sleeper Hit" that provided satisfaction to children, teens, and adults. Like many others have said, the trailers did not do the movie any justice.
This movie ranks right up there with Toy Story and Ratatouille.
This Blu-ray set comes with two discs - a Blu-ray disc with the main and special features and a DVD copy. There isn't a great number of special features, but it is adequate considering the stunning visual and audio qualities. Even the soundtrack is really good.
How to Train Your Dragon is a film for anyone to enjoy. It's a must-have for any movie collection.
What's great about it: plot (story), audio/visual quality, special features

I'm Not So Sure What They Were Thinking...

Okay, the case itself is solid steel, which is great - very protective.
However, the original Blu-ray set comes with two discs, and the Blu-ray 3D set comes with four discs. This case has room for three discs...
Did they average the two out and decide to make a three-disc case?
I purchased the original two-disc set and got this case for free, so I guess I'll give it five stars since both of my discs fit inside. Although, I did think that I was missing a disc when I first opened the set and this case...oh well.
What's great about it: free during pre-order period
What's not so great: miscalculated on the number of discs it should/can hold(?)

The King Has Returned...in Blu-ray! Whoo!
on October 16, 2011
Posted by: FLYPino
from The ATL
One of my favorite films as a child is now available in 1080p HD and is presented with 7.1 DTS-HD sound!
If you have not seen The Lion King before, the story is about a small male cub who, destined to be king, runs away from home after a tragedy occurs, which he believes was caused by himself. He eventually grows up alongside two friends who "show him the ropes" as a child (cub). All is well until an unlikely reunion makes him realize that he has to return to his kingdom, which has almost turned into a barren wasteland during his absence. With his decision to return, he faces a challenge(s) in order to rightfully take his place as the destined and one-true king.
Like most other Disney films, the movie is also somewhat of a musical [for the first half].
This set comes with two discs - the Blu-ray disc consisting of the feature film and special features, and a DVD copy consisting of the feature film and only one special feature from the Blu-ray disc.
There is a good number of special features including never-before-seen deleted scenes/bloopers, a deleted song, an extended scene, a sing-along mode, an interactive Blu-ray gallery, and more.
I really believe that there could have been a little more, even though all of the special features are presented in Blu-ray fashion. Yes, Blu-ray discs can hold a lot of content, but the better the presentation is when there is no loss in either visual nor audio quality due to "space cramming." It's not a 50-GB dual-layered disc, but I doubt all 25 GB were used here.
What's great about it: price, remastered
What's not so great: number of special features

One of the Best Musicals of All Time!
on October 16, 2011
Posted by: FLYPino
from The ATL
What is there to say that has not been already said about this classic masterpiece of a musical?
The Sound of Music is nothing less than a heart-warming experience for any individual and/or family out there.
For those who are not familiar with the plot of the film, it is about a far-from-perfect nun whose task is to heal a household, consisting of seven children and a former Naval captain, that has lost its joy. She learns a great number of things about the children, about the captain, and about herself throughout the movie. With her personality consisting of finding the best in all things, she is able to bring the family closer together through song, care, and creativity. It's comedic, it's romantic, it's historic, and it's simply wonderful.
This remastered film on Blu-ray is just phenomenal! The textures, clothing fabric, and green pastures almost look three-dimensional due to state-of-the-art digital restoration. Sound is in 7.1 DTS-HD with the feature film in 1080p HD.
There are plenty of special features, and the way that they are presented is outstanding. It has a nostalgic, feel-good vibe to it. Included is a virtual tour of the von Trapp household and Salzburg - gorgeous!
One can't go wrong here. The Sound of Music on Blu-ray is a must-have for all those who enjoy the best musical presentation they could ever experience sitting in front of a TV.
What's great about it: presentation, digital restoration, lots of special features
What's not so great: some parts of special features (e.g. cast interviews) not remastered

Toy Story Comes to an End...But With a Warm Heart
on September 25, 2011
Posted by: FLYPino
from The ATL
Out of the three movies in the series, this is, by far, the most emotional of them all, especially with the ending. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it may be a little too much for younger viewers to completely understand.
However, it is still [and literally] laugh-out-loud funny. The plot may seem a bit too one-dimensional, at first, but it ends up working well as the whole story unfolds.
This Blu-ray set comes with the main film, the theatrical short, Day and Night, and Buzz Lightyear Mission Logs: The Science of Adventure on a single Blu-ray disc, lots of bonus material on another Blu-ray disc, the movie and a few bonus materials from the Blu-ray discs on a DVD, and a digital copy of the main film.
Overall, this is a set worth getting, but wait until there's a sale that brings the cost down to about $25.
What a way to end... = ]
What's great about it: family film, funny, lots of bonus material
What's not so great: steep price

For Hardcore [RPG] Gamers ONLY!
By FLYPino from The ATL
In a nutshell, Demon's Souls is one of the hardest, most frustrating, most aggravating, most unforgiving, yet....most rewarding games of all time.
Does this game make you wanna pull your hair out at times? Yes! Don't be surprised if you're bald by the end of the game.
Does this game make you wanna throw your DualShock 3 controller out the window? Yes! Don't be surprised when you find yourself purchasing more controllers just for this game.
Does this game offer hours of fun? Yes! This game is very challenging.
The hardest part of the game is at the beginning when you first start playing. You're new, you don't know exactly how the fighting mechanics work, you don't know the enemies' tendencies and movements, your weapons, shields, and yourself have poor stats (low Soul Level), and you have no miracles or magic.
The fighting mechanics is very in-depth. You can dual-wield weapons, shields, magic, etc. The better the armor, the heavier you become causing you to run slower. There are a lot of things to take into consideration when choosing what to equip and when to equip them.
This is where the game is unforgiving ---
I'm more of a defensive player who likes to conserve items a lot. It took me a little over 4 hours and maybe around 20 deaths to get past the first level.
You can't upgrade your stats and go to other levels until you beat the first demon. You can't learn new miracles and magic until you find certain people in different levels and help them.
There is NO PAUSING in the game. If you're in the middle of a sword fight or caught in the middle of a bunch of enemies, you better finish the fight and hope that you can hold from going to the bathroom before you put down the controller.
When you die, you have to start ALL THE WAY BACK AT THE BEGINNING OF THE LEVEL or wherever you originally started after teleporting from the Nexus (hub). Also, you lose ALL the souls that you achieved. The only way to get them back is by getting back to the spot where you died and picking them back up. If you die again, they are gone for good.
For example, let's say it takes you about 30 minutes to get to this one part of a certain level. You have 1000 souls, and you get killed (some enemies can kill you with one blow). You start all the way back from the beginning. Now you have to go back to that point without dying. If you make it, you get your 1000 souls back plus the souls that you earned along the way. If you die before getting back those 1000 souls, you can't get them back. The only souls that you can get back are the last ones that you dropped.
Each enemy has a different amount of souls that they can offer you. The souls aren't necessarily their souls. They're more like a currency. For example, the first enemies you will encounter in the first level offer about 6-8 souls. The number of souls given by each defeated enemy will vary depending on their difficulty, which level you're playing, and the current World Tendency (*see note on World Tendency*). Some enemies can give hundreds, thousands, and even tens of thousands of souls.
The souls that you earn are saved for purchasing items, weapon upgrades/repairs, stats upgrades, learning miracles and spells, etc.
***Do NOT use demons' souls (boss souls) for increasing your regular earned souls. Save them for miracles, magic, and weapon upgrades. I made the mistake on using a demon's soul and now I can't get a certain magic power until my next playthrough because I no longer have that demon's soul.***
This game is either a lot harder or somewhat easier if you're signed into the PlayStation Network. When you're online, other players can either invade your world (black phantoms) or aid you in your journey (white phantoms). And of course, you can be a black phantom or a white phantom, as well. I haven't played online, so I'm not going to get specific about online gameplay.
*World Tendency* --- Enemies are harder (therefore, offer more souls) the darker the world tendency and are easier (offer less souls) in lighter world tendencies. The tendency can be affected by killing non-playable characters (NPC's) and by the holiday depending on the developers' calendar (e.g. during Valentine's week, it was pure white world tendency for one half of the week and pure black world tendency for the other half. Black phantoms can also affect the world tendency.
Notes:
1) Some levels don't take as long as others to get to the demon.
2) Play smart. Don't think of this as a hack-and-slash-and-spam game. Take into consideration your stamina and magic bar.
3) I wouldn't recommend this game to those who have high blood pressure.
4) Have some patience. This game wasn't meant to be beaten in a week or two...or three. Expect around 80+ hours of gameplay.
5) Keep your fingers away from the attack buttons when you're near NPC's in the Nexus. If you accidentally kill the only person that can increase your stats, you're just asking for more trouble. How would you be able to upgrade?
6) Have some sort of strategy for each level according to the different enemies and how difficult they are. Weapons, shields, and magic are either more effective or less effective depending on the type of enemy.
7) Have fun! = ]

Follow-up Note on *World Tendency*
October 4, 2010
World Tendency can also be affected by killing a boss demon - there is an increase by one (+1). Dying in body form (except when in the Nexus) decreases world tendencies by one (-1), but dying in soul form does not affect world tendency. +3 is pure white world tendency, while -4 is pure black world tendency.
There is also character tendency.

Another Great Installment to the CoD Franchise
By FLYPino from The ATL
Call of Duty: World at War is a great FPS, but it's not perfect. This game deserves a rating anywhere between 4.0 and 4.5 stars.
Is this the best WWII FPS game currently out on the market? Sure.
Is this the best CoD game of the series? Maybe 2nd or 3rd best (with respect to this game as being the latest installment – Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare being 1st and Call of Duty 2 being either 2nd or 3rd).
What makes this game great are its gameplay, graphics, intensity, co-op, and re-playability. There are plenty of details in the environments, making this game fun to play and fun to watch at the same time. The presentation is outstanding, and the game sounds amazing in surround sound. Weapon sounds, accuracies, and details are spot on.
The campaign has you playing from the points of view of the Americans and the Russians, but you probably won't care too much for the storyline. And every time you hear Kiefer Sutherland as Corporal Roebuck issue commands at your side, you won't be able to help but picture Jack Bauer in place of Corporal Roebuck.
Even though the missions are enjoyable and very well done, there is not as much variety compared to the previous installment. After about the fourth or fifth mission, the missions will seem overly repetitive. The two missions that stand out in front of the others are the sniper and tank missions. Otherwise, every other mission consists of “shooting the enemies as they pop out of cover, pushing forward, getting over the hill, ducking and covering, and trying to reach several checkpoints.” Enemies still continue to spawn if you don’t push forward, and some (very few) are out of place – they won’t shoot you, your comrades won’t shoot them, and they just stand there or do some idiotic retreat, making them the opposite of artificial “intelligence.”
However, all of this is made up for with the addicting multiplayer and unlockable “Na*i Zombies” game modes. The multiplayer is fun as with any FPS multiplayer game. Perks are automatically set for each weapon class and are not customizable. With "N*zi Zombies," you can play offline by yourself, with one other person on the same console, with two consoles and two players for each console (LAN party), or online with up to four other players. Teamwork is the key to success. The gameplay for "N. Zombies" is to simply defend yourself and your teammates as hordes of the undead break through windows and walls. Weapon upgrades and power-ups are practically necessary as the number of zombies, number of bullets needed to kill each zombie, and zombie invasion speed increases each level.
Overall, CoD: WaW has been another great addition to the franchise. It’s definitely worth giving a try.

Perfect bundle to introduce the ps4
By Chris
Big Xbox fan, but always missed Sony games. This bundle is perfect for introducing what the ps4 can do with its graphics and set up. Wonderful game, great graphics, controller is very comfortable. Can't wait for more exclusive Sony ps4 games.
