Side by side comparison to MOHU Leaf

We have the Leaf 50 mile radius antenna in the living room with very good reception. We needed a second antenna for another room. Decided to give Terk a try. First off , it is about $20 more; it's stuck to the inside of the box with double sided tape so you have to tear the box apart making the product nonreturnable. The cable that runs from the antenna to the TV is not very long and it's not removable so you can't replace it with a longer cable if you need to place the antenna further away from the TV. Before installing to the second TV, I decided to see how it did on the TV where we had the Leaf. I tried it in the exact spot where we got the best reception with the Leaf, and in several other places. Very poor performance. Stations that came in great with the Leaf were not even picked up and others tile so bad you can't watch them. Side by side comparison, I can't recommend this product. The reception on the second TV is also very poor. I'd gladly exchange it for another Leaf but the box is torn apart.
Launched in 2011, this design established the trend of paper-thin TV antennas. Universally compatible with all HDTVs, the Mohu Leaf 50 offers the benefits and powerful performance of our notorious design coupled with the Jolt Switch USB in-line amplifier to reach a 60-mile range. Control TV signal amplification in real time with a simple ON/OFF switch. When it’s "on", TV signals are increased for clearer picture and sound, sometimes receiving channels beyond your antenna’s standard range. When it’s "off", amplification is bypassed while TV signals are still filtered from FM and cellular interference. When plugged into your TV’s USB port, the amplifier only draws power when the TV is on, saving energy, or use the included USB power adapter with any standard wall outlet. Perfect for suburban areas, compact living spaces, single-TV homes, dorm rooms, RVs…take this efficient antenna just about anywhere you go. Easy to set up and easy on the eyes. Multi-directional UHF and Hi-VHF elements receive TV signals from both sides, so you can show either side of the black or white reversible design or paint the Leaf antenna for a customized look. Note: The range of this antenna will vary greatly depending on the height, power, and frequency of signals coming from the TV tower, as well as the height of the antenna installation, the terrain, and obstacles between your home and the broadcast towers. Find your TV towers and channels by using our free Antenna Point app on your android or iOS device.

I live on the top floor of a condo where all the windows face a wooded area of very tall trees that are only a few yards from the building. I was skeptical that we would pick up anything but the TV found 30: the 3 major networks in HD plus a few more like HSN and QVC, and the local Public networks. Most of the others stations, we are not interested in the programs, or the picture tiles so you can't watch it anyway. This worked much better on the window than it did on the wall or laying it flat. Not that this mattered to me but the box said it is double sided which I thought one side black and the other white, but it's white on both sides. Not a deal breaker and we are getting another one today for our second TV.
