This shaver was excellent right out of the Box. It surprised me a little bit with how much louder it is than my previous circular blade shaver, but I quickly got used to it. The only other way I can get a shave this close is by using a new razor against the grain, which irritates my skin really bad. You don't have to make a lot of passes to get a close shave, so the time to shave is shorter than many other razors. It's really easy to clean, and the only time it irritated my skin was the first time I used it.

We just purchased this washing machine (in white-not the stainless steel color, though) within the last month, so I can't speak to longevity of the product. I have washed numerous loads of laundry and feel like I've gotten a feel for how the washing machine is working so far. I have washed bedding, everyday clothes, delicates, towels-just about everything we own and all sizes of loads. The clothes have come out clean and nearly dry. I was able to wash my two boys' twin bedding-2 quilts, 2 sets of sheets, snuggle blankets-all in one load. It fit perfectly. More importantly, everything got wet, there was soap on everything. I used the bedding/bulky cycle and it didn't get unbalanced.
There are a couple drawbacks-but I don't feel like they effect the washing machine efficiency. The tub is REALLY deep. I read that in numerous reviews and tried it out in the store-looking at that specific feature because I am only 5'2". In the store it seemed fine reading down for a sock-but I wasn't thinking about how many times I would have to bend down for SOCKS-plural. Little, tiny kid socks get pretty tedious picking up from the bottom of the tub. It doesn't bother the performance of the machine, but it is something to consider if you are short.
The other con is the run times-but I knew going into the process of buying a new washing machine that this would be an issue. The cycles are long-but not any longer than other models. Just be aware the cycles take at least an hour, unless you do a quick wash.
We also didn't buy the pair-I wanted to, but our dryer is still running and didn't want to replace an appliance that is working. If you can swing it, I would buy the pair. Since the washing machine is so large our current dryer can't handle the really big loads (like all the bedding) and I have to split it into multiple loads.
Before running the machine I read the book and quick start guide cover to cover. I also use only HE detergent. I think both of these things helped a great deal. I knew what to expect with the taller machine and longer cycles-so I wasn't surprised by these features. I love the washer-I hope it holds up well.
