Bad product, worse customer service

I purchased this model in July 2016 and picked the tv up from my local Best Buy. If I could give the experience less than 1 star, I would. Within a three weeks of purchase, the picture on the television would continue to jump, regardless if I was using cable, ROKU or gaming.
I did some research and found this was not unusual for Insignia products so I called the manufacturer directly. Over the course of weeks, I jumped through hoops of resetting the power, contacting my cable provider for a new digital cable box, and various other steps they asked. The process was cumbersome and only via email as you cannot get anyone to answer a telephone. Finally, it was decided that the problem needed to be escalated to local, on-site service for repair.
As unhelpful as dealing with Insignia had been, it has so far been trumped by Geek Squad. It took over a week to get a technician to come to my house. When he did, he spent a grand total of 5 minutes at my house watching the screen and confirming what I had reported. No repair, no service.
I called Geek Squad to see if the TV could be exchanged and was informed that it requires three visits to my house before I would be able to send the TV to them for evaluation. Not exchange, evaluation to determine if it needs to be exchanged. So, I have to wait almost two weeks for the 2nd visit to get a part replaced that the original technician advised might or might not resolve the issue.
Bottom line, this has been a terrible experience. I understand that there are potentially issues with hardware but the lack of service from the manufacturer and Geek Squad is why I am sharing this review.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
