Bad CGI, Great Story
on December 17, 2015
Posted by: dabone5
Let me start off by saying I purchased the LCE of Halo 5: Guardians and received this digitally, I also purchased this version as it was on sale and I'm a collector.
I have always loved the books as well as the games, this animation follows Halo:Fall of Reach (The Book) perfectly(That book being one of my favorites)
The story is exceptional and shows the origin of the Spartan II program including characters such as Kelly, Fred, Linda, Sam, as well as John( The Master Chief)
This animation is a great alternative for those who don't have the time/patience to read the book as it shows how the Spartans trained and bonded together.
Now, the bad part-
The animation is horrible ( Halo Legends had better animation IMO)
To sum this review up, I would recommend this to a friend for the story though the animation could have been better, I believe the story more than makes up for it.
My Best Buy number: 3473351181
I would recommend this to a friend!

A mysterious and unstoppable force threatens the galaxy, the Master Chief is missing and his loyalty questioned. Experience the most dramatic Halo story to date in a 4-player cooperative epic that spans three worlds. Challenge friends and rivals in new multiplayer modes: Warzone, massive 24-player battles, and Arena, pure 4-vs-4 competitive combat.**Online multiplayer features require Xbox Live Gold membership (sold separately).

Great product, overpriced though

I am a big Halo fan and I would purchase again, but this item is WAY overpriced.
$175 sounds fair to me, I could understand the hefty price tag if there were LED's built in like the titanfall statue, but no.
The statue is HUGE, it dwarfs the reach statue(see pic included)
I was able to use GCU and other deals to get this item for $170, and very glad I did and would do it again, but it IS overpriced.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Halo 5 is the best one yet
By delarosa123
I've played the beta version of this game and the newer updated version at E3. I can tell you that this is by far the best game of the franchise! If your a long time halo fan you should really think about getting this collectors edition. It sure is expensive, but if your like me and have played every other halo game at launch you won't hesitate any longer.

Gamers Club Unlocked gets me this for $199, then I get $10-$20 back in rewards and I got a $100 best buy gift card for $85, so I'm paying $185, the rewards cover the tax

As a true gamer, part of the gig is that you play video games — a lot. And if you're using a wireless controller, that means you're burning through batteries. But you don't have to. The Energizer 2x Charging System comes with two Energizer Recharge batteries that are fully compatible with Xbox One controllers and save you a trip to the store every time they die. You can now keep your controllers ready to go whenever you are. This Microsoft-Licensed Energizer 2X Charging System allows you to easily charge up to two Xbox One controllers at once, so you're always ready for the next adventure. Check the status of your battery pack while it's charging thanks to green and red LED lights. The 2x conductive charger provides quick charging, so you can get back to the action. Stop wasting money on disposable batteries and keep gaming longer with Energizer.

It can charge one controler at a time.

So the bottom charging port does work correctly. Not sure if it is just mine or all. The batteries have a good life and charge quickly but the station does not work that well.

Maybe for little kids
By CaliGirl from CA
My nephew is a huge gamer, so I thought he'd like this movie. I didn't realize it was horribly done CGI until after we started watching it. With all the millions they've made off the game, you'd think they'd put that much energy into the game. Instead it looks like something made on regular persons computer using a common app or program. I've seen better quality CGI videos made by people on youtube.
We watched the entire video just for the story line and because my nephew grew up playing Halo with his dad before he passed away. My nephew is a typical freshman in high school that thinks he's a comedian, and he's been acting out the glitchy CGI since we saw it. It's hilarious and better than the movie.
The movie would be great for younger gamers and kids that like action cartoons, but older kids and adults will be turned off by the poor CGI. I seriously have flash backs to gaming in the 90's and early 2000's where you're stuck running into a wall, or a player being killed and the arms are in front moving like you're still walking. It's really that bad, but it's a great back story for Halo.

Does Energizer 2x charging system work without the energizer batteries?

How do these work?
It comes with-charger and 2 battery packs and 2 covers
You put the pack and cover on your controller and sit it on the stand, it will charge while on the stand(if stand is plugged in)
