Absolutely love it!! Is light weight and works well with a heavy Nikon or a light Sony. Easy to use and gives that satisfying *click* when you snap it in place.
For backpack use insure the strap you attach it to is sturdy and has good padding.
For belt use I recommend a thick belt, like a light gun belt, to increase comfort. Then find a spot on your hip that is most comfortable. I found near the buckle was the best spot for me. Wore it for hours with no issue.

Got a few of these after some close calls with my lenses. I would rather replace a filter than a lens.
