Best option for my needs

I decided to get this model after my 4-5 year KitchenAid blender broke. (I do not have an engineering mind, but was glad to see that there was a change in the design of where the pitcher connects to the base.) I am impressed with the power of this model as well as with the lightness and size of the pitcher. I had considered getting a higher end machine - but for my light use, the brand's proven durability, and at the price point - this model is the best option for my needs.
