This Review is for the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-3720 that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. The WorkForce Pro WT-3720 is a very good all in one. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it prints. I also have a Dell C1660w LED laser jet and I must say that the speed is comparable. I do run an 802.11AC WiFi network in my home and I was concerned about connection issues since all my devices are connected to the 5 GHz network but the printer resides on the 2.4 GHz network. Fortunately, I did not run into any issues with the network, and I am able to print from all my devices. There is a little delay when printing wirelessly. I believe being on different networks is what causes that delay. Devices tested: Windows 7 PC, Surface Tablet (8.1RT), Nexus 7 Tablet, iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S7.
The scanner/copier functions work amazing!!! I was shocked at the resolution and the easy to use interface. The scanning function can achieve clarity of up to 1200 DPI. The professional printer we use at my job can only go up to 600!!!
Software: I must say hats off to Epson. The software installed smoothly and there was minimal bloatware. The interfaces show a good amount of thought. I was very pleased with this.
Setup was a breeze and trouble-free. Even updating the firmware didn’t take long. Not much to say here since it was so uneventful. Overall, this printer is great!! I do believe updating it to an AC standard would make the printer a truly 5 Star printer. The prints are sharp, but have a tiny bit of bleed. Nothing crazy and certainly could have been due to the paper quality. I wish I could give .5 stars because my true rating would come in at a 4.5/5.
