This is the best date movie in recent years. It has the great humor that men love and just enough drama and emotion for women to relate to. Everyone can find something they like in this well put together comedy. The characters are very relatable and likeable and everyone can find a little of themselves in them.
What's great about it: Good humor without recycling jokes
What's not so great: Some jokes rely on drug use and gross out humor
Kenny Chesney proves that he's still going strong with his latest effort. Songs like "Never Wanted Nothing More" and "Got a Little Crazy" will have listeners singing along after just one listen. The songs are catchy and best of all fun to listen to. The only low points on the album are the songs "Shiftwork" and "Dancing for the Groceries." "Shiftwork" is sang with George Strait but the reggae drum beat and hokey lyrics are what kill this song. "Dancing for the Groceries" has a catchy tune but the lyrics seem corny, with lines about an exotic dancer "dancing for the braces." But if a good time and some catchy songs are what you're looking for, then this disc is for you.
This cd is once again Motion City Soundtrack at their pop-punk best. While some may say that this cd did not show any progress from the previous albums, I believe that to be a compliment. Listeners get what they have come to expect from MCS. They get upbeat sounding songs about some real issues such as alcoholism and drug use, in songs like "This is for Real" and "Broken Heart". They may not have progressed much musically but sometimes the best change is no change at all.
I was very excited for the new Foo Fighters album. It comes out kicking and screaming with tracks like "Pretender" and "Let It Die." The only problem is that the ferocious pace dwindles more and more as the album progresses. By "Ballad of the Beaconsfield Miners" listeners will feel like they are listening to a completely different disc. It almost seems like the band tried to put too many different styles on one disc. Although it boasts a few good tracks this cd is not worth purchasing.
I have Mike's previous 2 albums "Dog Years" and "Two Drink Mike" but they pale in comparison to "My Secret Public Album." This is by far Mike's best work yet. I was actually on the floor in tears I was laughing during the track "P for Parents." This cd will leave your sides hurting for a long while.
Great cd! The band's major label debut is right up there with their other albums. The songs are catchy but meaningful and will have you singing along from the first listen. The only weak spot on the disc is "Animal" which seems like filler until the standout "Ocean" finishes off the disc.
