To begin, I am a cinephile who takes great pride in my Blu-Ray collection for its expansive versatility. But it got to a point this year where I need to keep them stored on one tower. As a birthday gift to myself back in April, I bought the Elite Media Tower and figured "problem solved." When first assembling this tower, I should have realized there was going to be a problem when I saw one of the boards had a big crack in it, but I thought nothing of it at the time. When it was finally assembled a week later, I started putting my movies on there and, once I started getting to the top shelves, that's when it decided to start leaning. In the five months I've owned this, it's honestly caused nothing but grief and disappointment as nothing will even out the weight ratio (it's gotten to the point where the pegs and screws holding the two halves together are starting to bust out) and a number of my Blu-Rays fall off the shelves on practically a daily basis at this point. I agree wholeheartedly with a number of reviews on here stating that Atlantic Inc. should have used sturdier materials because the quality of them as is really brings the whole product down a great deal. That's the biggest surprise as Atlantic's media towers are usually very reliable. To cut a long story short: if you intend to buy a media tower, proceed with caution wth the Elite Media Tower.

Ennio Morricone's scores for both "Two Mules for Sister Sara" and Terrence Malick's "Days of Heaven" couldn't be any different in terms of style, but here they are on the same album. And you couldn't ask for a more thrilling, exciting and melodic compilation. Having said that, the one thing that keeps me from being fully supportive of this album is the presentation of the tracks for the "Sister Sara" portion of the album. For the first ten tracks, each is not properly divided and the first two seconds of the subsequent track is attached to the previous. That gets a little tiresome when listening to one select track and missing the establish notes; more so because the final one is presented in its entirety rather than strangely spliced. Still, for the most part, I'd recommend getting this album just to own two underrated and hard to track down Western/philosophical scores.

Anyone who knows anything about the "Exorcist" franchise knows that John Boorman's infamous follow up to the 1973 horror classic is... far from the standard established by the original, to put it nicely. One aspect of the film that does hold its own well alongside the original is Italian musical legend Ennio Morricone's score. Starting with his lyrical "Regan's Theme" and taking us on an aural journey through the battle of good and evil that culminates in the skin crawling "Exorcism", Morricone's "Exorcist II" is an album that every music aficionado - not just soundtrack aficionados - should have in their collections.

Films like Paul Thomas Anderson's "There Will Be Blood" are rarities that come in a flash. There is nothing about this film from the minuscule attention to detail to Robert Elswit's haunting cinematography that isn't genuinely perfect. And then there is Daniel Day-Lewis's performance, a true masterclass of acting. I don't like to use hyperbole to describe a film, but this one genuinely is a masterpiece. The Blu-ray's video and TruHD audio quality is top tier, as are the small collection of bonus features that take you deep into the real world of oil drilling. A true MUST OWN for your Blu-ray collection.

No matter what you hear or know about it, nothing can truly prepare you for Lars von Trier's horror opus "Antichrist". Written in the midst of von Trier's infamous crippling depression, "Antichrist", similar to "Don't Look Now" (another surreal horror film released by Criterion), focuses on a married couple dealing with a traumatic death and the inevitable intensity and violence that seems intertwined with their relationship couple with observations of gynocide in history. Relentlessly brutal both emotionally and visually from start to end, "Antichrist" works as a horror film and as a haunting psychological study about the uncertainty of parenthood. It also begins an incredibly collaboration with leading lady Charlotte Gainsbourg, who's simultaneously sympathetic and monstrous. Criterion's team once again delivers a set with incredible picture and sound quality for the film and a bountiful collection of piercing bonus features that really gives the audience insight into the process. Highly recommended.

"To the Wonder" isn't an easy film to experience because, as with most of Terrence Malick's movies, there isn't an easy way to describe it. The best thing to do is just throw yourself into it headfirst with an open mind for what's on Malick's. A sparse yet deeply powerful meditation on love, both romantic and spiritually, "To the Wonder" is sumptuously photographed and well acted by a cast who act through emotion over dialogue. Also worth owning on Blu-Ray especially for the powerful clarity of Emmanuel Lubezki's photography and the precise sound mix. Bonus features are few, but revealing of how the behind the scenes work on a Malick set.
Starring Maxwell Caulfield and Michelle Pfeiffer, the 1982 musical Grease 2 comes to DVD from Paramount with a widescreen anamorphic transfer enhanced for 16 x 9 televisions. Audio is offered in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound in English along with a stereo track in French. Subtitles are available in English. This disc has no special features of which to speak.

I don't think the original "Grease" is a film that warranted a sequel, but we still got one thanks to box office popularity. A new generation of fun loving seniors at Rydell High are back to sing and dance through the hallowed halls as love, motorcycles, rival gangs and popularity get them thinking about what lies outside the school. Maxwell Caulfield and Michelle Pfeiffer in one of her debut roles are sweet and entertaining if uneven substitutes for John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John; outside of them and the teachers from the original returning for the hijinks (and poor Didi Conn returns as former Pink Lady Frenchy, who completely disappears halfway through), not much of the new cast sticks out much. The songs also suffer a little - to be fair, after the original's soundtrack, it sets a standard that's pretty hard to top - but when they work, they leave you with a smile and a tapping foot, especially when Michelle Pfeiffer's Stephanie sings about her "Cool Rider." Picture quality and the remastered 5.1 surround are good for the time.

One of those infamously sleazy horror movies you've heard of more for its shocker ending than the quality of the movie itself, the original "Sleepaway Camp" truly is a film that has to be seen to be believed for that reason. Not to say the rest of the film isn't good, but to be fair, in the annals of horror movie history, it's that darn ending that really sticks with you. Scream Factory's Collector Edition combo pack is another worthy addition to your film collection, both for its remastered picture and sound and a bevy of bonus features, including an in-depth making of, a look at the restoration process and a short film featuring one of the actresses playing an immensely unlikable camp counselor.
Michael Myers comes home with this 15 disc limited edition release featuring every film in the seminal slasher series (including the two Rob Zombie films). Additional features include the rarely-seen television cut of the original John Carpenter classic, the network TV cut of Halloween II, the legendary "Producer's Cut" of Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, and "Unrated" versions of Rob Zombie's Halloween and Rob Zombie's Halloween II. A limited edition 40-page book featuring an essay by Fangoria's Michael Gingold and bonus materials for each film are also included.
"Halloween" is a film that defined a genre. Even the most disappointing entries in the series added to the fascinating mythology of Michael Myers and his acts of terror against middle American suburbia. Thanks to a rare collaboration between Anchor Bay and Shout Factory, you can own every film in the series in a gorgeous package. Each film is beautifully remastered for Blu-Ray, the bonuses are endlessly fascinating and revealing and, the best of all, the infamously rare "Producer's Cut" of the sixth film, "The Curse of Michael Myers", is included and a genuine highlight and worth the purchase price. Highly recommended for any "Halloween", horror or general movie fan looking for one good scare.

The "Hellraiser' franchise is one that began on a high note and became hit or miss with each follow-up. The latest, "Revelations", is sure to be the final entry in the series, though not because it closes the story properly. It's because it's a shamelessly cheap film whose existence is justified only by the studio's desperation to retain the rights. Gone is the elegantly ghoulish and gothic set pieces and morally ambiguous character studies, replaced with poor performances, unbearably written scenes and cheap makeup effects. It's easy to see why Doug Bradley declined to play Pinhead again and why Clive Barker went on an explosive tirade on Twitter in the days leading up to release. One of the worst films of the decade, straight to video or otherwise. For what it's worth, the video transfer and audio track look and sound good and the deleted scenes are interesting.
this is the worst story ever and so misleading and not scary you find out the main character actually has a boys part at the end.

Don't give the ending of the movie away in your review. Hate a movie all you want, don't be a spoilsport and give things away for people genuinely intrigued to watch it. I already knew the ending, but still.
