Excellent Value (Dolby Vision & HDR10)
on July 30, 2016

I've had this Tv for about 10 days ten now. I own two other 4k Panels (70" Vizio M series from 2015, and a 55" Samsung 7 series Curved Tv from 2014), and briefly owned a 65" Samsung SUHD KS8500 before I returned it due to the edge light bleeding and backlight glow that is prevalent in those models. By far this home theater display (they aren't called Tvs since they don't have tuners) is the best I've ever had. Admittedly, they don't look to impressive in store. But that's because they aren't hooked up to the stores 4k feed, which is delivered through a coax cable, which this panel lacks. When active Led Zones are enabled the black and contrast levels are fantastic. 4k streaming looks excellent. On par with the KS8500. So does blu-ray and gaming content as well. This panel really shines when viewing HDR content though. Note that this model is one of the few 4k HDR displays that supports both HDR formats (Dolby Vision and HDR10). The firmware update enabling HDR10 was just released today (https://support.vizio.com/s/article/Firmware-Information-244). This means that this Tv will support Dolby Vision HDR streaming content from the likes of Netflix and Amazon, and also support HDR10 HDR content from 4k UHD Blu-rays, and 4k HDR gaming, as found in the upcoming Xbox One s, which I also have coming. Comparable models cost twice as much. This is certainly the best 70" inch 4k HDR set you can purchase right now.

780 GB of free storage upon bootup!
on October 21, 2015
Posted by: CaliFTW83
Let me start off by saying that I have two other Xbox ones that I love and use just about everyday. I was extremely excited to purchase this new Halo 5 edition as a replacement for one of my 500 GB systems. The console's design is great and even the packaging was superb.
My disappointment came when I booted it up and noticed that the console only had 780 GBs of free storage. That's 220 GBs that are already gone from the advertised 1 TB! With nothing installed, at all! I initially figured the game was probably pre-loaded then. Check that, nope! You still have to download that as well.
Very disappointing, enough so that I'm just gonna go ahead and return it. That 780 GB will get even smaller once the new update comes in November. For $500, that's just a bit too much to accept in my opinion. If this is your first console. I would still get it, but not as a replacement for an existing one.
I was really excited to add this to my entertainment center but I guess that's not gonna happen.

Great Drone, but needs more range.
on October 21, 2015

I'll start off by saying that this drone did work as advertised. It was easy to setup and get going. All I had to do was charge the batteries. Piloting it was a breeze with its turtle/rabbit slider and smart mode. Gimble also works as expected and it takes great video. It even gets about 20 min of flying time as the company states.
I started experiencing connectivity issues when I grew more comfortable with flying it and wanted to take it out further. Anything beyond 2000 feet and the video feed starts getting sketchy. I couldn't make it out to the supposed half-mile range (approx 2600 feet) without getting connection errors over and over again. At that distance you care barely see the drone so even piloting by line of sight (LOS) is practically impossible. I would have to flip the return to home switch and hope that it would work and come back safe (which it did). I performed a firmware update, but that just increased the drone's speed and not its range.
This is a solid drone that works great within LOS, but for this price, I expected at least a bit more range as far as having a video feed. Would still recommend if you don't care about going long distance, bu I'm going to try the Phantom 3 now.

*Update*
August 12, 2016
@Sadow12. Yes, the Xbox One S works great on this model. When I go to > Advanced Video settings, all the boxes are checked green except for the "4K @ 50 hz. If I had one complaint about this panel is that it only has one HDMI 2.0 compatible port (HDMI-1). So that's the port with all the "bells & whistles," i.e. 4K @ 60Hz, 4K @ 24Hz, HDR, etc. Unfortunately, this is also the port that supports HDMI ARC. So you have to choose what feature you want since no audio system that I know about (Yet) supports that kind of passthrough. I've watched all my HDR 4K blu-rays, and there isn't any HDR supported games yet, so for now I just have the Xbox One S plugged into HDMI-5, which is the low-latency port. This port will only show the same checked box as yours. I suppose this is the tradeoff for paying a bit less when compared to the P-series. Those have 4 HDMI 2.0 ports, so you wouldn't run into the same problem. I would get the 65 version of the P-series (Same price as the 70 M-series) if you plan on using the Xbox One S's HDR feature and the Tv's ARC feature simultaneously. Hope this helps.

Great TV - Bad HDR Support
By jojosbestbuyorders
I purchased this TV for its 4k & HDR capabilities (with an Obox One S). It seems an incompatibility is in place. I have spent hours on the phone with Vizio & MS. When color subsampling is enable (for hdmi 1)-which is needed for HDR, the Visio screen goes blank (audio and video stop) for a few seconds then returns normal video. It will do this every so often. Turn color subsampling off and it stops. Put the Xbox on other ports or use another device and all works fine. But the moment color sampling is back on video starts to acting up. MS insists it’s a Visio issue. Hours and multiple calls with Visio and they agree it’s an incompatibility issue which they don’t have a newer firmware for so nothing can be done at this time. TV already has: 2.0.13.13. So I am a god amount of money on the two devices just so I could use HDR and it can’t even be done. So if you want to buy this TV for its HDR capability I can’t suggest it.

Blacking out Issue with the Xbox One S
August 16, 2016
I'm having the same issues with my Xbox One S. They came out and replaced the HDMI port module, and same issue. Works fine on all ports except HDMI-1, which unfortunately is the only 2.0 port. Disappointing for sure, but I am keeping it for now hoping it will be patched in the future.
