Premature Product

This product is not mature for production. I pre-ordered the Ring Pro, and I didn’t have the benefit of many reviews before I purchased. I sure wish I had waited.
I tried two separate units and spent hours on the phone and writing emails with Ring’s technical support departments, only to ultimately return the Doorbell Pro for a refund.
Setup seems easy enough: Wire a little circuit board to the house’s existing doorbell transformer, wire up the Ring Pro unit outside, connect to WiFi, and go. Except it didn’t ever work. I wired the Ring correctly (verified by tech support, and I monitored the system's voltage with a meter), but on each unit, the video would never work. Then, after a few minutes, the Pro units became unresponsive.
Ring’s technical support tried to help, and I spent hours on the phone with them. I sent the first unit back for a new one, only to have the smae result. In the end, technical support admitted these units have major issues, and offered a full refund, which I accepted.
I wasted hours of my time, only to end up where I started. The idea behind this product is a great one. However, I get the impression this model was pushed out for sale prematurely.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
